Let us know if it works for you though, I'd be interested to hear.

aren't dagga and kanna two different things?
i snorted about 150mg's today. something happened. not very "strong" but i was very calm and surprisingly clear headed.

Cool, glad to hear it had an effect. Did it come in extract form?

leonitus leonorus is wild dagga . 2 totally different plants..
BBB has 2 types of kanna. Pharm grade and regular fermented leaf. With the regular leaf i would make a tea with it, or chew it. .. with the pharm grade i just take a lil bump and im fill'd with happy feelings and feel a rush come upon me.. not to compare but kinda the way coke makes you feel in low doses.. a lil jumpy. hope that helps.

he's about 6 months old.
the literature about the seeds said that they were difficult to germinate
and this guy was the only one that germinated out of 6 seeds

lucky you got one eh.
here's a little more info
from our archives
a sponsor here sent me some of that,
dried in powder form.
smoked it and was pretty impressed,
one of the few 'legal highs'
that i could honestly say made me feel
a bit stoned.
kinda like mj but different.
growing yer own
that's the way.

plz tell us as much as you can about
how you got this far,
soil mix used, temps,
as we have very little data at this time here.

Sceletium seed have two basic requirements for germination. They have a water soluble germination inhibitor which must be leached off either by it sitting in a pot for several weeks or by mechanical means such as soaking in running water. also the temperatures must be right or they will take much longer to sprout or they won't sprout at all. temperatures above 78 degrees F will tend to inhibit germination. we have found that the best way is to have temperatures fluctuate daily between 55-60 and 75-80 (which is when they germinate in their native environment)."
here is a description of what all i have done so far
(to the best of my knowledge)
i placed the seeds in a small wire coffee strainer and held under the faucet for about 10 minutes (this was done to try and remove the inhibitor)
i'm not sure if this worked or not, i guess it did for one seed maybe
the seeds were then treated as cacti seeds except i used a slightly different soil mix
i found a web site that suggested this mix for kanna:
80% coarse sharp sand mixed
20% potting soil perlite and vermiculite
supplemented in part with a small quantity of peat moss
again i wasn't real sure on ratios of peat to the mix, so i just guessed
soil was microwave sterilized like normal cacti soil
seeds placed into soil and kept under high humidity
the seeds were placed under 2 4' flouros grow tubes
14/10 light cycle (approximately)
the hardest part was trying to achieve the correct temp fluctuation
i could not just use a heating pad as i do w/ cacti seeds and let the timer turn it on & off with the lights
a heat pad even on low would quickly make the temps inside the humidity chamber exceed 78 degrees F
so the seeds basically stayed at room temperature
i just hoped that the temps would drop enough when the lights went off to achieve the temp fluctuation
but anyway, 1 managed to sprout
it stayed in the humidity chamber only for 3 days after sprouting
because one site suggested that "once the sprouts are a 3-5 days old remove from the humidity dome into a drier environment"
the seedling lived under the flouros in the initial soil mix up until a month or so ago
then he was put into a actual pot just using standard cacti soil
and gradually acclimated to the windowsill, where he now resides
i hope this helps at all and isn't too incoherent

I think the best way is to eat about a gram,
Then an hour or two later smoke some up.
That gave me the best effect.

I replanted them into a bigger pot after these pics and it's starting to grow much faster again.
Sorry it took my so long to upload these, all of my rechargable batteries have gone to shit and I couldn't find my cameras mem. card heh..
