Just received my order of compost today, beautiful stuff! I was so impressed with Palenque on coir i figured if it were given high quality compost, then it should do much better.

Again, im using 3b filter patch bags to colonize and fruit in, I spawned 1 pint of rye grain spawn to 2lbs of compost, making 22 invitro bags. I think I used a total of 10 pints of spawn, and 20lbs of compost. The grains were inoculated with a liquid culture 4 days ago, they were 100% ready when the compost arrived. I was thinking i'd have to wait a few days to spawn, but I didn't so I was happy.

here is my magical palenque closet of compost,
I still have to take pics of my 60 invitro palenques on earthworm castings/coir/verm tomorrow. I'll post that log.

Day 1 of spawn run!

GO Babies go!!!

10% recovery after 24 hours of spawn, YAY.

love visible change in that short of time.

I still keep forgetting my camera to start a wormcastings/coir/verm thread.

Very nice!
Smart way to build spawn. Those bags ROCK eh?
Works great for woodshavings as well - transfers shavings to shavings, kneading the bags for mixing, etc.

I LOVE BAGS
I am super lazy, this does it all in one with little maintenance.

guess what!!

put more out today!

21 in all.
1 died.

not bad for 10 pints of spawn and 20lbs of compost! and spawn run only took like 5-6 days.

Very nice! Invitro/sandbag is definitely the tek of choice for a minimalist. One stop shopping as it were. Those bags can also be carefully rinsed with a bit of bleach water and re-used to save a little on supplies.

Man, i wish i had a spare closet. I also wish my garage wasn't full of useless crap. :horse:

I slowly and gently squeeze the air out, it sucks back in on it's own, worst case i just have to pull the sides apart to start the re sucking of air.

I don't reuse the bags because rinsing out 200 bags a month takes way too much time.
it's easier to re order,
BUT, that is good advice, if one were using nly 20 at a time.

I am very fortunate to have 4 spare [email protected]

HAHA thanks!

and now i know what you were refering to in the other thread now!
let it be known that buck's not a kiss ass, we just crossed posts at the same time unintentionally!

thanks again man!

im worn out i've been keeping up with a lot lately!

im liking the hpoo/wheatstraw a bit better i think! very very very rhizo, these on compost aren't any worse, they are just as good if not better, but they are in their own way, they look like totally different colonies then the poo/straw, totally different.

This move doesn't affect this thread, as this grow is at my other property,
but the other grows are affected.

I moved the penis envy into the foyer for the 2nd bathroom, on it's own shelf, the closet is now empty that we do the spawn run in, we are going to spawn 15+ more invitro hpoo/wheatstraw bags tonight and fill the closet back up.
We moved the invitro hpoo/wheatstraw onto the dining table in the labroom, and we moved the palenque on hmCompost over to the cloudy blue girly shelf.
So just simply re arranged to make room for more spawn run on the poop/straw, and allow more to come out of the closet.

here are the pics, and i think we'll be making more hash in a day or two off some headies (midgrade) if dude comes through for us.

This update will be repeated per each invitro grow log.

in a nutshell, moved pal poop onto table, pal compost onto shelf, and penis into foyer.
