Dr T is German schnapps only a one pass like Vodka?

I wish I would of got the knowledge from my Grandfather before he
passed on (rest his soul)

The 'family' schnapps wasn't like the stuff you buy in the store
it's like drinking shine and was clear with a hint of fruit'
Hint as in after it stopped burning lol

Well, I don't know the recipe your grandfather used, but a single run should get you to about 40%, or 80 proof. (More or less). A second run gets you to 75% or maybe a bit higher- 150 proof. Then take that and blend a bunch of fruit into it, whatever you like. Peaches would be good.

Or you could maybe use jam or preserves? There's a thought!

A friend of mine soaks cherries in the stuff. Good tasting, and the cherries pack a punch after awhile.
