The LC's are always half gallon jars, the lids are prepared with sillicone ports, kept under a vaccuum, introducing sterile air every week. The mix is malt/dex agar diluted for liquid suspension.

THANKS!!

that pic of the harvested pile does no justice, it's a lot bigger pile then that, plus plenty more to get off of it.

Do you fan daily and mist the sides of the tub for added mositer? Also, does your temp stay up enough in there? If not, what method do you use to ensure propper temperature? :eusa_thin

I live in a very dry arrid climate, and I never misted this tub once, I fanned it twice daily, even without misting afterwards. My home stays constantly in the lower of the 70's *F, so I have perfect fruiting conditions year round. Considering my climate, I did prepare my substrate on the wet side, using about 1.5x's more h2o then usual. I end up with never having to mist, and it working out just perfect throughout 2 flushes. I'll float the tub after the second flush for a night with cool running water going over it, then place it back in the tub for fruiting the 3rd flush.

I've been experimenting with wetter then normal subs due to my climate. It seems to work as the very low humidity here seems to keep it in check! Plus I end up not having to mist, so it's truly a neglect tek.

Just don't go too wet unless you like trichoderma and failed growth. In fact, if you don't live in a desert or very near one, don't do this.

see, a little bit of planning to account for variable change goes a long way!

my buddy says they taste considerably better from worm castings then equine substrates. The same strain done on hpoo, he said the hpoo was stronger, but the wormcastings were much more visual, it's the exact same strain, and myc so maybe substrates do cause different levels of potency?
not realy sure about this, i still say potency is "genetic" but he says it's a BIG noticable difference.
