Lyrics to Everything Went Numb :
And the story goes like this: everything went numb for the money and the guns
and everytime he'd think it out: "there's nothing to worry about
get in the van, don't deviate from the plan
if everything goes smooth then you'll walk away a rich man"
so it begins, everybody walks in
could this be the way or the day that the underdog wins?
i think not, so i bet on the feds because the black hat men never win in the end
ski mask (check)
sawed off (check)
guilty conscience, fear of death (check check check)
everything went numb when he stumbled upon what he thought
was going to be another means to the end
the silence
the sirens
it all went down like his nightmare the night before
i don't want to hear
i don't want to be near
i do what i got to do just to keep my nose clean
the story doesn't end here
don't fear for our hero ain't near the end
my friend
let's take it back to how it all began: with a proposition
and proposition starts with a capital p
"or at least for me" is what he said to himself
but himself ain't a lot when he's got nothing left
of what was once a man, loved and loving
he took that trip that turns something to nothing
right and wrong
there's not a lot a difference when you're singing that poor man's song
and that song it goes just a little like this:
na na na...
ski mask (check)
sawed off (check)
guilty conscience, fear of death (check check check)
everything went numb when he stumbled upon what he thought
was going to be another means to the end
the silence
the sirens
it all went down like his nightmare the night before
i don't want to hear
i don't want to be near
i do what i got to do just to keep my nose clean
Lyrics to A Moment Of Silence :
A moment of silence, please, for those who never get the chance
They show up to the party, but they're never asked to dance
The losers, the liars, the bastards, the thieves
The cynicists, the pessimists, and those that don't believe in nothing
I never met a loser that I didn't see eye-to-eye with, I declare
I stare into your eyes
But you look right past me into the air
What's it like to stand in your shoes?
To have never felt the belt of somebody's abuse?
I take the bottle and I tip it to all my heroes that have passed
Alas, you have left us, but your stories they will last
Uninspired by the recruiting call
Independent we stand
Independent we fall
So tell me: how long do you think you can go before you lose it all?
Before they call you bluff and watch you fall?
I don't know, but I'd like to think I had control
At some point, but I let it go and lost my soul
Sit tight, but the revolution's years away
I'm losing faith and I'm running low on things to say
So, I guess I have no choice but to regurgitate
The tired anthem of a loser and a hypocrite
Oh! To have died that night, I realized it wouldn't last
Our days were numbered and the reaper tipped the hourglass
The final mayday of our sinking ship had come and passed
Oh! To the west, you don't know what it is you're running from
And everybody's laughing loud
Your last chance to make your mother and your father proud
Oh, oh, oh...
A moment of silence, please, for those who never get the chance
They show up to the party, but they're never asked to dance
The losers, the liars, the bastards, the thieves
The cynicists, the pessimists, and those that don't believe in nothing
They said "a pox,
Upon your house,
Upon your family and everyone you knew
And everyone you'll ever meet"
I bet they think we wish we joined when we could
But we do what we want, we don't do what we should
Now, everybody's laughing, 'cause they're thinking they're in on something I don't get
Don't forget
I connect and I read every word you said
Like a child who believes he was wronged
If you hate me so much, then stop singing my songs

Let's watch it burn ….. Let's watch it burn …. Let`s watch this city burn the world.
Chorus:
Let's watch this city burn, from the sky lines on top of the world,
Till there's nothing left in her,
Let's watch this city burn the world.
My body doused in ash, with two empty cans of gas,
The only evidence they have is a police sketch of my mask.
And it's hard at times to ask if you can save my heart for last,
And it's hard to face the facts when the darkness fades to black.
It's not just make believe when they make me take a seat,
And they put amphetamines in the air and make me breathe.
So come on and grab your children, look out for burning buildings,
And villains who pillage, they're killin' by the millions.
And billions of people die for a lost cause,
So now I pray to my nation destroyed under God.
It's the end of the world ….
All my battles have been won but the war has just begun.
(Chorus)
The city looks so pretty do you wanna burn it with me?
Till the skies bleed ashes and the fuckin' skyline crashes.
They catch us with the matches and ignite the flame,
And all the hopes of a youth deemed fuckin' insane.
They say…..Take the pill, in God we trust,
Go and kill, God loves us.
As in life, as in death,
Breathings until there is no breath.
I will not die in the night, but in the light of the sun,
With the ashes of this world in my lungs.
But who am I to say let's all just run away,
Grab your saints and pray and we'll burn this world today.
It's the end of the world ….
As in Heaven, as in Earth, we`ve been dead since our birth.
(Chorus)
Let's watch it burn …. Let's watch it burn
The city looks so pretty do you wanna burn it with me?
The city looks so pretty do you wanna burn it with me?
The city looks so pretty do you wanna burn it with me?
The city looks so pretty do you wanna burn it with me?
We'll use the trees as torches
Do you wanna burn it with me?
We'll flood the streets with corpses
Do you wanna burn it with me?
We'll watch the city fuckin' bleed
Do you wanna burn it with me?
And bring the world to it's knees
Do you wanna burn it with me?
(Chorus)
Let's watch this city burn, from the sky lines on top of the world,
Till there's nothing left in her,
Let's watch this city burn.
Let's watch it burn, Let's watch it burn
Let's watch it burn, Let's watch it burn
Let's watch this city burn the world ….

How we'd follow the path of the hero.
Boast about the day when the rivers overrun.
How we rise to the height of our halo.
Listen to the tales as we all rationalize
Our way into the arms of the savior,
Feigning all the trials and the tribulations;
None of us have actually been there.
Not like you.
Ignorant fibbers in the congregation
Gather around spewing sympathy,
Spare me.
None of them can even hold a candle up to you.
Blinded by choice, these hypocrites won't see.
But, enough about the collective Judas.
Who could deny you were the one who
Illuminated you'll have a piece of the divine!
this little light of mine, a gift you passed on to me;
I'm gonna let it shine to guide you safely on your way,
Your way home ...
Oh, what are they going to do when the lights go down
Without you to guide them all to Zion?
What are they going to do when the rivers overrun
Other than tremble incessantly?
High is the way, but all eyes are upon the ground.
You were the light and the way they'll only read about.
I only pray, Heaven knows when to lift you out.
Ten thousand days in the fire is long enough;
You're going home.
You're the only one who can hold your head up high,
Shake your fists at the gates saying:
"I've come home now!
Fetch me the spirit, the son, and the father.
Tell them their pillar of faith has ascended.
It's time now!
My time now!
Give me my, give me my wings!"
You are the light and way that they will only read about.
Set as I am in my ways and my arrogance,
(With the) burden of proof tossed upon non-believers.
You were my witness, my eyes, my evidence,
Judith Marie, unconditional one.
Daylight dims leaving cold fluorescents.
Difficult to see you in this light.
Please forgive this bold suggestion, but
Should you see your Maker's face tonight,
Look Him in the eye, look Him in the eye, and tell Him:
"I never lived a lie, never took a life, but surely saved one.
Hallelujah, it's time for you to bring me home

Reflecting on my past life and it doesnt have much time
Cos at 5 oclock they take me to the gallows pole
The sands of time for me are running low
When the priest comes to read me the last rites
I take a look through the bars at the last sights
Of a world that has gone very wrong for me
Can it be theres some sort of error
Hard to stop the surmounting terror
Is it really the end not some crazy dream
Somebody please tell me that Im dreaming
Its not so easy to stop from screaming
But words escape me when I try to speak
Tears they flow but why am I crying
After all I am not afraid of dying
Dont believe that there is never an end
As the guards march me out to the courtyard
Someone calls from a cell God be with you
If theres a God then why has he let me die?
As I walk all my life drifts before me
And though the end is near Im not sorry
Catch my soul cos its willing to fly away
Mark my words please believe my soul lives on
Please dont worry now that I have gone
Ive gone beyond to see the truth
When you know that your time is close at hand
Maybe then youll begin to understand
Life down there is just a strange illusion.

And is in itself a Universe

To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real
The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything
What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
I wear this crown of shit
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
Beneath the stains of time
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I am still right here
What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way
If you have not seen this video, do yourself a favor and watch it. Its awesome!

"let us share some thoughts, feelings, and meditate on life,
using the vehicle of universal music,
music is food for the soul,
i hope each of us finds something special in this short journey together"

Memories come rushing up to meet me now.
But in the space between the heavens
and the corner of some foreign field
I had a dream.
I had a dream.
Good-bye Max.
Good-bye Ma.
After the service when you're walking slowly to the car
And the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air
You hear the tolling bell
And touch the silk in your lapel
And as the tear drops rise to meet the comfort of the band
You take her frail hand
And hold on to the dream.
A place to stay
"Oi! A real one ..."
Enough to eat
Somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street
Where you can speak out loud
About your doubts and fears
And what's more no-one ever disappears
You never hear their standard issue kicking in your door.
You can relax on both sides of the tracks
And maniacs don't blow holes in bandsmen by remote control
And everyone has recourse to the law
And no-one kills the children anymore.
And no one kills the children anymore.
Night after night
Going round and round my brain
His dream is driving me insane.
In the corner of some foreign field
The gunner sleeps tonight.
What's done is done.
We cannot just write off his final scene.
Take heed of the dream.
Take heed.

Through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes
I can barely define the shape of this moment in time
And far from flying high in clear blue skies
I'm spiraling down to the hole in the ground where I hide.
If you negotiate the minefield in the drive
And beat the dogs and cheat the cold electronic eyes
And if you make it past the shotgun in the hall,
Dial the combination, open the priesthole
And if I'm in I'll tell you what's behind the wall.
There's a kid who had a big hallucination
Making love to girls in magazines.
He wonders if you're sleeping with your new found faith.
Could anybody love him
Or is it just a crazy dream?
And if I show you my dark side
Will you still hold me tonight?
And if I open my heart to you
And show you my weak side
What would you do?
Would you sell your story to Rolling Stone?
Would you take the children away
And leave me alone?
And smile in reassurance
As you whisper down the phone?
Would you send me packing?
Or would you take me home?
Thought I oughta bare my naked feelings,
Thought I oughta tear the curtain down.
I held the blade in trembling hands
Prepared to make it but just then the phone rang
I never had the nerve to make the final cut.
"Hello? Listen, I think I've got it. Okay, listen its a HaHa!"

Is it you I want to see?
Holding on, hold it high, show me everything
And you're leaving me, yeah you're leaving me
You're leaving me with a hated identity
But I keep on a-comin' here and standing in this state
And I'm never really sure if you'll take what I'm saying the right way
But I'm not appalled or afraid verbal pocket play
Is as discreet as I can muster up to be
Because the Cadillac that's sittin' in the back
It isn't me
Oh, no, no, no it isn't me
I'm more at home in my galaxie
Can I do the things I wanna do
That I don't do because of you?
And I'll take a left and I'll second guess
Into a total mess
And you're leaving me, yeah you're leaving me
You're leaving me with a hated identity
But I keep on a-comin' here and standing in this state
Oh and I'm always reassured the situation's getting carried away
But I'm not appalled or afraid verbal pocket play
Is as discreet as I can muster up to be
Because the Cadillac that's sittin' in the back
It isn't me
Oh, no, no, no it isn't me
Oh, no, no, no it isn't me
No it isn't me
No it isn't me
No it isn't me
No, no it isn't me
No it isn't me
In my galaxie"

Laying everybody low with a love song that he made
Finds a convenient street light, steps out of the shade
Says something like, You and me babe, how about it?
Juliet says, Hey it's romeo! You nearly gimme a heart attack
He's underneath the window she's singing, Hey la my boyfriend's back
You shouldn't come around here singing up at people like that
Anyway what you gonna do about it?
Juliet the dice were loaded from the start
And I bet and you exploded into my heart
And I forget the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong Juliet?
We both come up on different streets they were both streets of shame
Both dirty both mean yes and the dream was just the same
I dreamed your dream for you and now your dream is real
How can you look at me as if I was just another one of your deals?
When you can fall for chains of silver you can fall for chains of gold
You can fall for pretty strangers and the promises they hold
You promised me everything you promised me thick and thin
Now you just say oh romeo yeah you know I used to have a scene with him
Juliet when we made love you used to cry
You said, I love you like the stars above I'm gonna love you till I die
There's a place for us... you know the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong Juliet?
I can't do the talk like they talk on the TV
And I can't do a love song like the way it's meant to be
I can't do everything but I'd do anything for you
I can't do anything except be in love you
And all I do is miss you and the way we used to be
And all I do is keep the beat and bad company
All I do is kiss you through the bars of this rhyme
Julie I'd do the stars with you any time
Juliet when we made love you used to cry
You said, I love you like the stars above I'll love you till I die
There's a place for us you know the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong Juliet?
A lovestruck romeo sings the streets a serenade
Laying everybody low with a love song that he made
finds a convenient streetlight steps out of the shade
Says something like you and me babe how about it?

Why'd we ever take that trip, honey?
You look dumb in dungarees, and so do I.
Go put on your nicest dress
And I'll put on my tie, here's why....
I'm tired of rock n' rollin'
Let's get married honey, let's go bowlin'
Throw away our pot and acid
Spend the weekend at Lake Placid
It's too hard to live in this town if you're strange.
Let's say you and I get normal for a change.
Let's say you and I get normal,
It don't have to be that formal
We'll just sit and watch TV like others do.
We'll eat meat and mashed potatoes
Cut our hair so folks don't hate us
Life is nuts enough just livin' here with you.
Let's see who can be most boring
You do the dishes honey, I'll start snoring
Get a mower and do some mowing
Spend all mornin' gettin' it goin'
We'll show everyone in town we're not deranged
Let's say you and I get normal for a change
It's gonna change us honey, sexually.
From now on, we'll be just be once-a-weekers
It's gonna change us honey, even musically.
We'll get our records through the mail,
And buy a set of lousy speakers.
So, if you'll beg my pardon,
I'm goin' out and start a garden.
It'll just be small potatoes,
Just some lettuce and tomatoes.
And if either one comes up, we'll join the Grange.
Let's say you and I get normal for a change.
Let's say you and I get normal
It don't have to be that formal
We'll just sit and watch TV like others do.
We'll eat meat and mashed potatoes
Cut our hair so folks don't hate us,
Life is nuts enough just living here witchu
Livin' here witchu and Bobby McGoo.

In the sun I couldn't tell you
I couldn't tell you so many things
about how much I really love you
about how much you really mean
so far away but so easy to see you
when I'm away I wanna put my arms around you
And I wanna know do you feel the same way
cause if you do I wanna stay forever
And I wanna know do you feel the same way
cause if you do I wanna stay forever with you
So many colors that surround you
Some so bright I can hardly see
The light reflects on all the things that make you real
things that make you truly free
so far away but so easy to see you
when I'm away I wanna put my arms around you
And I wanna know do you feel the same way
cause if you do I wanna stay forever
And I wanna know do you feel the same way
cause if you do I wanna stay forever
And I wanna know do you feel the same way
cause if you do I wanna stay forever with you

Like the pine trees linin' the windin' road
I've got a name, I've got a name
Like the singin' bird and the croakin' toad
I've got a name, I've got a name
And I carry it with me like my daddy did
But I'm livin' the dream that he kept hid
Movin' me down the highway
Rollin' me down the highway
Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by
Like the north wind whistlin' down the sky
I've got a song, I've got a song
Like the whippoorwill and the baby's cry
I've got a song, I've got a song
And I carry it with me and I sing it loud
If it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud
Movin' me down the highway
Rollin' me down the highway
Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by
And I'm gonna go there free
Like the fool I am and I'll always be
I've got a dream, I've got a dream
They can change their minds but they can't change me
I've got a dream, I've got a dream
Oh, I know I could share it if you want me to
If you're going my way, I'll go with you
Movin' me down the highway
Rollin' me down the highway
Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by

Someone already listed a Dead, and I can't even Begin to choose...not enough space..
So here's a forgotton tune:
Where to Now, St. Peter??
I took myself a Blue Canoe, and I floated like a leaf...
Dazzling, Dancing,....Half-Enchanted...
In my Merlin sleep...
Crazy was the feeling,
Restless were my eyes,
Insane, they took the paddles,
My arms...they paralyzed...
Chorus:
So, where to, now, St. Peter?
If it's true, I'm in your hands..
I may not be a Christian,
But I've done all one man can...
I understand I'm on the road
Where all that was is gone..
So where to now, St. Peter?.
Show me the road I'm on..
The road I'm on...
It took a sweet young foriegn gun
This lazy life is short..
Somethin' for nothin' always ending,
With a bad report..
Dirty was the daybreak,
Sudden was the change..
In such a violent place as this,
Beyond the rifle range...
Chorus 2X..
I took myslef a Blue canoe....
From "TumbleWeed Connection"...
Bernie Tuapin/ Elton John
