This is my first monotub ever. I used about a 1:1 ratio because I had so much spawn. I used 10 1/2 quarts of spawn into this. Probably overkill but I have pleanty other spawn for another monotub if this goes well.

Strain: Either Z LC or B+ clone (not sure due to a mislabel so its kind of a mystery!)
Spawn Sub: Popcorn
Bulk Sub: 1 brick of coir, 3/4 pound of worm castings, verm, and a few tablespoons of bat guano mixed in with the water.

This was spawned two days ago, it seems to be ripping through the bulk, super rizo growth. Hard to see in the pic but tomorrow when I introduce it to fruiting conditions I will post better pics.

Thanks, there was a lack of worm castings and a good friend and fellow topiate :) lent me some bat guano. So far it seems to be working very well! If all goes well I would recommend it! It literally seems to be making for the lack of castings; I am suprised :)

Day 3.

Monotub was introduced to fruiting conditions.

The condensation inside the tub built up and was dripping from the lid onto the substrate. The lid was wiped down and the middle of the sub was carefully dabbed with a paper towel because there was a small pool of water. The tub was fanned out well today but wont be fanned again until tomorrow. The sub is mostly colonized but not 100%. I don't see why light would slow the colonization process, that is why the tub was introduced to it early.

Pics are always good :)

Day 4.

Everything seems to be going well. I opened the tub today to find a suprise! A sprout is growing in there... Is this bad? Also my sub looks very moist, no more pooling water; but it is glistening. Is this common?

Which ingredient of the substrate is that from?

IME when I see those sprouts it turns out to be a weak project or get contammed quickly. I don't know what would cause those sprouts especially in your ingredients. I get them with straight hpoo sometimes too...

Maybe the sprout is from the Jamaican bat guano and it's a super dank Jamaican cannabis bloom that a bat ate.

How cool would that be!

Day 8.

Mad knotting in there. Everything is looking good. No primordia yet - but soon :rasta:

My friend borrowed my memory card in my camera so I may not have a pic update for a day or two but I'll make sure to get it back in time for pins.
