dont bash swim too much for being a dumbass and having all this straw everywhere, he didnt realize it needed to be finer until it was too late!
First pic is PE Uncut WBS spawned to 50/50hpoo straw, spawned on 10/5 looking great!
Swim ran out of poo and had 1 tub left to go, so swim was a lazy and instead of pasteurizing more poo just layered some PE Uncut popcorn spawn to straw only.
Swim is wondering if this is premature knotting? And what swim should do with this tub? Should swim just leave it? All swims other tubs are coming along fine thus far, besides the leggy straw which swim will remove when it gets more far along with colonization to avoid contams. Thanks for your help.

Looks good. How long has it been since spawning? Is it in the fc?
Let it be and look for contams on the uncolonized side of the tub.

it looks fine. its just very nutrient rich so may colonize a little slow. personally i don't like layering with the straw on top. sometimes the leggy pieces don't colonize. if you find this a problem. cut your straw a little smaller next time. but it looks good.:headbang: good luck with it!
hard to tell from the pix. don't over expose it to light. i know your excited. but wait till its 100% before you give it alot of light. doesn't look like hyphal knotting to me.
