I birthed 5 cakes as soon as i saw 100% colonization, kept in complete darkness. DEC them placed them in the FC, ive been fanning since birth atleast 3 times a day! Its been 2.5 weeks since birth! no pins? what to do?

Light would give you a pin set?

What's the RH?
Should be near 100% for best results.
Are they getting any light?
Light stimulates pinning.

I think fresh air helps to trigger pinning. What about your temperature and humidity? You may want to let in some light, too.

Next time wait til you see hyphal knots, then birth.
No need to fan until you see pins. There should be enough oxygen
to promote pinning already in the FC with just five cakes; The extra fanning only dries
the sub/ or in your case, cakes.

Unless the cakes are really dry there must be another issue. Do they
feel light? If so do a 12/20 hour dunk. If not....what are your temps and rh?

after a moment of thinking about it....start a dunk in the fridge now. Its been two 2.5 weeks. They have to be thirsty.

Then come back and we'll discuss the rest of the questions ask here. :)

I'm afraid of dunking at this point if i look really close to the top rim of the cakes where the 50/50 coir and verm it looks like its getting hypol knots. but they are really really small! i know this is a sign of pre pinning stages but im not sure about them its been soo long 2 and a half weeks is a long time :eusa_snoo but the cakes dont look thirsty they are healthy and white! where is hip when i need him? :mistrust:

Hip eh...

I bet you he'd tell you a to do what i posted above.
Wait til you see knots, then birth. And at two weeks you still may get
a little harvest, ,but with a dunk the fruits would be substantially larger.

Good luck. keep us posted.

two choices...see what happens with the knots you have or dunk.

Id dunk. Every thing else looks and sounds great. RH, Temps, Light, DEC, etc.

They probably will abort if they are in that DEC.
If they are well attached to the cake itself, no they will be
fine. Its a choice you need to make.

You can leave the ones you see with the knots and dunk the others.

I agree with the above also! You can dunk w/ knots. If you are worried about dunking, and don't trust the words of wisdom above. Then take a chance and dunk just one of those cakes for 8-12 hrs. Put it back in your FC and see which ones do better. I bet you see the difference in 36 hrs or so. even if you lose a couple of knots in the dunk, you'll probably see tons of new ones in a day or two and the cakes you didn't dunk will look almost the same as they do now

DUNK!

Should have dunked them before you birthed them anyways.

Always dunk cakes before you birth .... golden rule for big cake flushes.

Gotta dunk dude, I even did it in tap water with no problems.

#1 Sterilize it and let it dry

#2 Place your cleaned cakes in the dunkware + put your wire mesh u made on top

#3 notice nice water entry hole on top for easy fill (no fighting with cakes)

#4 fill to top with 6% h2o2 94% aqua

#5 take your jars out of darkness so it don't take so long for those dam pins to show!
