Great learning, and bonding experience! Kudos to you ElP
You've always been a class act in my book.
Good for you, and good for the kids :)
Plus, it looks like a really nice pie, and who doesn't love a pretty nice pie?

Smoked halibut and noodle casserole. I'm going for convivence tonight. A pint of home canned fish, with some frozen veggie mix (green bean, corn, carrots, peas, and sweet peppers) all blended into some cream of chicken soup base. Then mixed into a casserole dish of elbow macaroni, and topped with some bread crumbs....
It's like the tuna noodle casserole of my youth, but better :)

The pie turned out great. My son keeps wanting to cook or bake all the time, it’s almost a daily thing with him now lol.Great learning, and bonding experience!

That's a nicer looking cake then I could make :) It looks real tasty!
I don't have a lot of baking skills, I can mix dough in the bread machine and bake a loaf of bread, and I can make a fine skillet of corn bread, ow yeah.... I can also bake a potato, lol.
But really, cooking is a skill more people should work on. You can cook much healthier things for yourself, and at a fraction of the cost of eating out or cooking freezer food. Cooking is a valuable life skill.
