I am embarassed that I ever actually bought Black Kow manure (although it has done me right in my outdoor grows- see:http://mycotopia.net...html?1092751283 ).
So if you are looking to try manure, you may want to try posting to FreeCycle. I just said that I needed it for my compost bins.

Glad it worked for you- always cool to have a local free source. I just realized that this could be a source of many needed things. You could ask for pressure cookers, jars, lids, coolers, humidifiers, tubs, etc.just joined it. found a guy with horse poo and wheat straw for free how cool is that. And he has a farm 10 min from my house thx dude for hooking this link up.

Like mentioned above, soak overnite to remove the urine. Add some bleachThis means it will contain wood shavings and urine. Do you think that this will be OK
and lime to the water as well. If there's alot of chips, consider sifting it prior
to pasteurizaton. I use a collander to remove the chips. Wood chips are
unnecessary filler, sure they add texture, but so does verm...which holds water.

i run my poo through a shredder to get a nice even consistency, which i believe helps with colonization times.
I would try and get some from the fields if possible, although the stall collected will work it's just not as clean.

Hopefully I can find more of the missing pictures.
4 qts. sweet feed (horse grain)
5 gallons horse poo.
Cased- peat/verm/pinch lime
I found these to be very nice fruiters. And very fast.

They drop buckets of spores. I mean thick dark prints.

As for spores, yes, it is a wonderful spore producer. Very dark.
Another bonus is the veil, it tears away without staying attached to the cap margin at all! And they turn up really nice :D
I  Dixie's!
