So can one make 4 hits at once? I have four peeps that would like to drink happy tea, I'd like to avoid doing each dose at a time. Is this possible?

Yes its scaleable just weight out what you want for a dose say 800 to a 1000 (fresh wet weight) or whatever and x buy number of doses and make what you want.

Good tek and good advice man, Stumbled upon your tek and thought id give it a go usually I freeze and blend but I think your right about it getting to thick and alkaloids sticking to the mutton cloth whilst straining, Just in the final stages of boiling down a 27"x4.5" pedro looks to be the goods so far!!! Gonna dose tomorrow on the full moon!!!

So I just got 3 kilos from BBB all look pretty good. Got 2 over 12", I'd say a good 15" each and 5 smaller 6-8" cuts. Wrapped em up and tossed them in the freezer. When readyto cook, should I just thaw them out?

One question after tea has been sitting in fridge it seems to separate? light murky color on bottom and dark brown tea color on top, Was wondering which actually contains the alkaloids the sedament at bottom or tea on top? I have usually just shaken up and drank the lot?

thats what I do, but, the whiteish looking sediment or cream colored sediment on the bottom would be most of your alkaliods as they will settle in the bottom but, there still will be alot in the other layers as well, so yeah just stir up and drink.

Had a friend stop by, he was nice enough to leave me one of his 12 inch cuttings he just ordered , boy did he dodge one or I feel as if he did.

So here I am, trying this tek, I have done it a few other time with less cactus and nothing happened but tonight is the night, I can't wait, doing my second pull right now of the cactus,

one thing though I am afraid to boil it hard, does any one know when the goodies start dissipating? I can't find anything on the temp that they can handle?

And I was going to try and simmering down the end tea to a resin, I have tasted it to many times with no results, no way man, not this time

A hard boil could possibly harm some alkaloids, but mescaline in acidic salt form (probably mescaline tannate in cactus, however not 100% sure) is stable at over 350 some degrees F, so it will not be harmed. Water boils at 212 degrees F at sea level.

NAME : Mescaline
CHEMICAL NAME : 3,4,5-Trimethoxybenzeneethanamine;
ALTERNATE CHEMICAL NAMES : 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenethylamine; mezcaline
CHEMICAL FORMULA C11H17NO3
MOLECULAR WEIGHT 211.26
MELTING POINT 35-36° C (non-salt?)
MELTING POINT 183-186° C (Sulfate dihydrate)
MELTING POINT 181° C (Hydrochloride)
LD50 crystals : 212 mg/kg i.p.(mice)
LD50 crystals : 132 mg/kg i.p. (rats)
LD50 crystals : 328 mg/kg i.p.(guinea pigs)
From the Merck Index 12th Edition

Different Cacti have different alkaloid contents.
The Bridgesii is known for it's potency due to other alks that potentiate the experience.
Irish has a nice chart that breaks down the alk contents of the various Trichocereus cacti. He'll post it or I'll dig it up for you later.
Love them Cacti!

i have read this thread several times, so much great info!

endless respect, irishlion!

a couple questions:

looking for a properly mindblowing experience with san pedro, how many grams fresh would you suggest?

how much rue should one use as an addmixture?

thanks for all the amazing info.

Just out of curiosity does anyone know how long this project would take from start to finish?

Lestor pedro tends to be weak so if I was you I would use atleast 2600 grams and about 3 grams of rue in a tea. Drink the rue tea first give it about a half hour and then drink the pedro tea
