Well, its no steady tek, just another phenomenon I've got growing right now. Look, there is nothing under the fungus but a liquid culture I didn't get around to using. The mycellium built up the surface layer and started fruiting on the potato water. It's like a month old.

Crazy how nature finds a way. Fungus on water=hydroShrooms!:amazed: :amazed:
Subnotes: Just potato water injected with Auzzie spores. Forget about it for over a month and the shit starts fruiting. AAaaahhh!!!

That is always a cool sight to behold.

Chill and Reefer did something similar, Chills was cool and Reefers was in an aquarium, really cool.

Hydro shrooms are really

oh did I mention its cool?

Yeah, its not an everyday sight. COOL SHIT. Too bad it can't be standadized into some simple, repeatable technique. I'm wondering what to do w/ it. This gives me some insight into maybe something revolutionary. Maybe, drop a screen onto that suface layer and fill the screen w/ a substrate. The mass of mycellium might grow through the substrate and I could just keep injecting sterile potato food. :bs: Hmmm? Soo simple could it work? I'm thinking it's just a random occurence and not repeatable. I'd rather just use the water for more liquid culture and then get the mushrooms out of there and through the water out. :( But then there is the chance for experimentation...I dont know, hey look, tits! :flash: Mainly, it was a cool picture; I never have personally seen this before. Cool shit there, man! I've been wondering if it was possible to have like some type of sponge soaked with a substrate mixture and then injected with mycelia and have it float on top of the water and fruit that way. I just don't know what to use as a substrate that could be sucked into the sponge.

Wow, excellent pic. I wonder what a clone of that biggie would do on a liquid culture dish.

That is a very cool phenomenon but obvioulsy not a great way to get weight.

You guys need to read the article on Hydroponic Shrooms in the #14 TEO Issue. I pioneered and developed ways to grow shrooms hydroponically some 20 years ago. slp/fmrc
