folks on shrooms are in a highly suggestible state,
the mere hint that this magic juice might boost the effects
would be enough to render their experiences entirely subjective.
a double blind test would be needed
and i'm pretty sure that's not what happened...
i remember a friend who ate some TCs
and marvelled at their potency,
told everyone that TCs were the best.
so i wondered if he could really even tell
so i eventually gave him some EQ
but i told him it was still his usual TCs.
he never knew the difference.
i've seen many different 'teks' here over the last several years
of stuff like lemon juice or orange juice, etc.
but the only real proof is for grapefruit juice,
and that only effects certain drugs.
and that proof is not just annecdotal reports,
it's backed up by medical doctors doing tests.
so when i see some doctors
saying black currant juice is an MAOI
then i will believe.
until then it's just a handful of hearsay reports
and not even all agree.

I believe that the acetic acid in fruit juice promotes a fast and full absortion of the magic....I tried with fresh squeezed orange juice and there was no guessing about the enhanced effects...it came on a little too fast for my liking though...my guess is around X 1.5 over just eating em - but did not last as long....
