After numerouse multispore grows of the Goliath strain -i figured it's time to take a clone and compare results...
So using "fahtty's" Tec for liquid culture ,i harvested a nice fat stem and cut 3 half inch cross sections to be dropped into 3 jars which contain a small amount of wheat grain...
The stem sections were dipped for 2 seconds in straight 35% hydrogen peroxide [foaming like crazy] then rinsed in a sterile water bath for 10 seconds ..and dropped into the half pint grain jars...
The first pic is 2 days after ,,the next is at 7 days [had shaken once]
So far everything looks good and i'm ready to inject sterile water for a liquid extraction...
All 3 jars seem to indicate that this clone method is worth repeating ,because it does not require the minute extraction of interior sterile tissue.
Win, loose or draw -we shall see what happens...

Golly, can't wait to see how it works out. I've been trying to find an easy way to clone those skinny stems lol. Cardboard is going okay, but your way using fhat's iso tek seems a good clone method! Best of luck with it!

Thanx for the correct spelling on fhat's name freaka- my bad..
Although previous peroxide adventures have been less than rewarding, this stuff is 12 times stronger than the drugstore brand ...If it touches your skin it will sting like nettles for about 30 mins but nothing lasting....

Nice job. I may have to try this on my next clone. I have been taking tissue from the inside and dopping it in peroxide but if you have good success with this method I think I might test it too. Thanks for sharing. :)

I bet hair/beauty places have it. For dying hair and stuff. Just a thought. Would have to check it out.

This 35% h202 can often be found at swimming pool and spa supply stores..It's used as an alternative chem treatment...Just for the heck of it i'm going to repeat this test with pix of the method -it's very easy but the jars should be in a glovebox for the transfer...

danimal...I'm almost certain that muratic acid and h2o2 are completely different chemicals....

They are different. It's spelled muriatic not muratic, and it is 32% hydrochloric acid, not hydrogen peroxide.

Ok ,,I'm going to repeat the experiment step by step to see if it was luck or a valid method...The following pics are jar prep ..Half pint with lid punctured about 3/4inch from edge, so that you can tilt the jar for easy liquid withdrawal ...
The lids are placed with rubber seal down after oiling the rubber gasket..[makes lifting the lid for the clone piece easier]
The holes are taped shut...So the jar is totally sealed after filling 1/4 with hydrated wheat grain...
Even though the jars are sealed -they will not crack because the inside and outside pressure are not hugely different when allowed to cool naturally.
I'm sure the tape would rupture first anyway...

Everything needed for the clone transfer...The mushroom selected in this case is from 3rd flush which is proly not going to be as vigorouse as one taken from the first flush, but for giggles -should b ok...
So the silver bowl is for the 35%h2o2
The half pint sterile water rinse jar
tweezers and scissors...

Everything is placed in the glovebox but the stem samples are precut outside the box and can b seen laying infront of the silver h2o2 bath..
Remove all rings off all jars and gently loosen the lid seals.
Using tweezers the first clone piece is dipped and swirled in the peroxide for 3 seconds...
Then it's rinsed [by swirling] in the water bath until the bubbling stops-maybe 6 seconds ...
Clone is then dropped into awaiting grain jar..
After all jars are knocked up -replace rings and take em out of GB and shake ,so that the stem is surrounded by the grain....
That's it....
