All you need to do is keep the room at 70-80f, other than that it is 100% self contained. You never open them.

Seems quite simple ...the 4 holes are enough for proper fae ??? I always hear everyone saying fan fan fan ....I really want to try it this way because of the simplicity. Only 4 holes 3 to 6 inches up 2 on each side?

yea the 4 holes are enough. They are wide open so its like they are getting more airflow as compared to a polyfill hole I would imagine. All I know is it works, they dont dry out, and they wont contam if the spawn is good and the pastuerization is good. Really! Dont aim the fan right at the tubs though.

well I am glad to see this tek . I was going to do a TIT set up but this answers my question on temp control too. I am using a space on the top shelve of my closet it has louvered doors . It is the only place my nosy little cats cant get at in the house. I have been able to maintain the temp there at 75 and had a sucessful grow using the bag tek there. So to make a long story short the tub should stay the same temp. I wil also ad a small fan up there for air flow

Sandman, I've read all your teks and have always been greatly impressed with your innovation and creativity.

You should obtain a copyright on the above graphic it's so damn concise...haha.

In this particular example, however, what were the dimensions of the tubs?

Thanks again for the knowledge and inspiration kind sir!

Tub size used in the demo was like 72qt or somewhere close to that. I think they were like $7 at walmart. Kinda pricey but reusable ya know. You can use any size tubs you wish. I would guess anywhere from about 30-40qt being as small as you would want to go. I liked to use the ones that have plenty of air space myself.

If you want to get fancy you can fold the excess edges back, right under the holes and tape it there like that so it is very tray-like. Just a few sticks of clear office tape. It is not necessary at all though, as long as the substrate is lower than the holes. The excess sticking up can block some light and cause certain areas around the edges underneath the excess to not grow well, but the rest of the tub will blow up.

Shit I forgot to put on there that you choose the 3-6" based on your planned substrate height. So if you planned a 2 1/2"-3" sub you would put your holes at 3" or just above where the sub would go.
