ok... so this tek seems good for what i wanna do. What's ur substrate used in this demo, and whats the spawn to substraite ratio? also, what was the pasteurization method?

would this work for rye berries spawned to straw?

do you have any pics of this tek fruiting?

You could put a tray in there if you want to....no need though.

For the substrate in this demo it was hpoo/verm about 60/40 or so. You can use anything you want at all. The spawn to substrate ratio can also be whatever you are comfterble with. I don't know the exact ammoounts involved really, but if I had to guess 1:4-1:5 or so spawn to sub. I used steam pastuerization with a wagner but any method will work. As long as the sub is at the right moisture level and apstuerized right your good to go. Use any and all methods for that you want.

no fanning?! mmmmm i read this post this morning and have been thinking about it all day and i was reminded of something that hip said sometime about running a huge grow in a storage unit as he said they are climate controlled cant remember whether or not they are lit but there are things you could do about that mmmmmm just has got me thinking

Sandman, how many flushes does this tek usually yield?

Ok here is my go at it.....I drilled the 4 holes 3.5 inches above the sub, It is about 4 inches deep mixed 1:5 spawn to sub I have covered the clear top with a black wind breaker to prevent light I have the fan set up over head when it is the right time...wish me luck ask me questions give me advice?? thnx :bow::bow:

yeah like sandman said, we pretty much did the same thing with our big ass PESA monotub. check this growlog for copious amounts of pictures (and instructions, methods, q&a, etc etc). and if this doesn't convince you to try this tek, i dont know what will! :D

Sandman, how many flushes does this tek usually yield?

You will get 2 flushes at least. You can spray it down with after the first flush with a chemical pump sprayer, but even if you do nothing you will get 2 flushes. Youcould even attempt a dunk but ehhhhh...............its not easy. Easier to just make a new one. 3rd flushes usually arent that great and they will eventually contaminate. So i would just toss em before it causes you future grow problems.

Just wanted to say thanks for the new tub tek Sandman! Just got my first flush finished off my first tub like this. Dried weight of 1.8 Oz in a 27Qt tub. Went smaller to hold contams in just in case. Anywho thanks again brother! Keep up the good... no great work! :headbang:

BTW that is the bunk Vicks warm mist next to my heater I had already begun to modify it so i think its trashed now

Paul I highly recomend pointing the fan away from the tubs, perhaps at the wall right next to where the fan is mounted. Looks great!
