Today's my birthday. My Dad sent me some bucks, so I finished paying off my 9mm Hi-Point carbine.

NICE!

Happy Birthday!!

"My gun collection was "stolen" and pawned by my ex-wife on her exit...
I was only able to recover my 45cal muzzleloader."

-Can't imagine someone pawning off my babies...I would have a fucking conniption over this :laser:

IDK how I missed your other post with the pic.
I actually just bought the same gun like 2 months ago
Took it to the range and is super fun to shoot.
Only shot around 30 yards but she is real accurate.
I got a nice short flouro dot scope for it but didnt put it on yet.
Oh and Happy Bday

just in case yall haven't been noticing, the shelves of bullets at gun stores and even walmart and academy are becoming empty....
i'm having a harder and harder time finding decent prices for single boxes too, only time i can catch a break is 1000 at a time and i have to drive an hour.

buy while it's still 'half way reasonable' and available.....

My son came in last night bitching about the cost and scarcity of ammo.

It is getting worse by the week.

That is kind of scary. More reason to wear that ceramic plating inside the vest I guess.

Weeellll,

9 costs a lot less to shoot than 45...

For me, the choice was quality at an affordable price, so I bought a Hi-Point c9 First- $140.00

I'm so pleased with the quality of it AND my carbine, I'll buy a Hi-Point 45 next.

Just my .02- I don't have a lot to spend.

I DO need a small-frame 9 or .380 for the kitten, just cause the c-9 is as big as a Glock, and she needs something small.

She did real good at the range Sunday, in spite of her right eye's tendency to close when she closes the left- we're working on that.

ack my woman's c9 hi-point is always jamming, going to send it back hopefully they'll send a new one...

also about to buy a dillon press, make my own ammo...

i don't know where yall live, but i live in a gun ho state, and i can't find handgun ammo, plenty of shotty and rifle ammo, no handgun, so i've been teaching myself the basics...

can't wait.

glocks you either love em or hate em...

i'd grab a 9mm.

you usually can hold more rounds, AND if you get a high quality HP, it can usually equal the damage of a standard FMJ 45...
not to mention your aim will stay better with a 9mm...

9mm is the way to go IMO....

:)

You guys ever tried out the H&K USP45? My brother has one, it's probably one of my favourite hand guns.

He also has an FN Five-SeveN. That's 5.7x28mm. One of the smoothest guns I've ever had the chance to play with. Ammunition was expensive like 3 years ago when I picked up a box to take to the range with him, I assume it's a lot more now.

My brother is one of those people that is all about guns, so he has an upward of 70 individual pieces in his collection. One of the cooler ones is his Thunder-Five, a revolver that takes .410 shotgun shells. He also has a SPAS12, and it has the hook thing on the folding stock so you can fire it one handed. Pretty sweet.

You guys have anything really interesting in your collection?

From what I hear, Hi-Points service is outstanding.

My C9 does fine with low-velocity rounds, but my carbine will sometimes fail-to-eject cheap ammo. Both are rated for P+ continuous; both work GREAT with good ammo.

I can load P+ rounds for what I pay for cheap- soon as I collect enough brass...

It's certainly difficult to do, but you need to try to do it anyways. It makes you feel like an action star.

Dead sexy.
