Damn.  Hoping things work out for the best.

If you're really in agony you don't have to worry so much about opioid addiction (voice of experience). I was able to throw them in the trash after I had back surgery and haven't looked back.  It has been over 10 years now.

Ayyyy thanks Myc. They'll only prescribe five pills at a time. It's annoying.

Glad to hear you came out the better for your op.

So I bought some wood from a a guy in the fall after tellingly him this wood is for smoking and not for heat . Told him I was looking for oak, hickory, pecan, maple. Didn’t want blackwalnut, or conifers .

Monday after curing the pork bellies of the pigs we’d fed out since June in a semi rotational forest grazing operation I put them on the smoker in the morning and kept it going all day. We went out for dinner that evening and before we did I threw another log on the coals . Came back after dinner and went and checked the smoker . As I walked up to it I smelled something off... PINE .

threw the smoker open and pine smoke came elbowing out . Opened the fire box and grabbed the log and threw it out and yeah it looks pretty oily .

Been sick about it for a couple days now . 4 pork bellies worth of bacon with a pinesol after Taste. Just lovely .

I feel stupid like I should’ve known better . Should’ve seen that that log didn’t have bark on it like the others? Seeing it more and more thought the cord that I bought from him . I asked him what was what when he dropped it off. Showed me red oak versus white, some hickory . Chickens ate all the fat off the piece I threw to them . Maybe instead of eggs and bacon I’ll just have bacon flavored eggs ?

That sucks Mycol, I'm sorry to hear that.  I know how much effort and love goes into curing and smoking meat, and I feel for you friend. We had a batch of salmon a couple of years back that my nephew mistakenly added white spruce to the coals instead of alder. I hope your bacon isn't ruined.

Saved by public holiday. Surgeon told me they'd have operated to take my gallbladder out except not enough staff.
They said I had gallstones. Now find out no gallstones. Problem with pancreas affecting liver :P

Sending some positive vibes to you Justin. I'm hoping you get some good positive conformation's of what is actually going on, so you can move forward with a good treatment plan. I know pain is a huge drain on you in so many ways......

Hoping you get some relief soon, both short and long term.

Laugh. They found the paperwork. I do have gallstones. Surgery in two weeks. At least blood samples show no damage to liver or pancreas.
This is the answer to my last two years of super itchy feet at night, bloating stomach other. Closure.
I had this nurse visit me to check up. We're in a curtained cubicle. Could hear other nurse talking to a patient next cubicle. Kind of a busy space. My nurse is literally shouting at me instead of talking. I said it's ok I can hear you fine. She keeps shouting, I'm laughing in disbelief of her way. I think she might have been autistic. I mean she was warzone shouting like grenades were going off around her.

Hey thanks fam. I'll tell you I'm still alive after the op eh. Sure I'll be ok.

Thanks friends. Doing ok. God forbid I cough. They did open surgery over three hours. Felt like a minute. Open instead of keyhole so I got a six inch stitch line.

All good. Just been sitting up all night writing and listening to songs about love and tenderness.
Thanks again for your support. Means alot.

Oh yeah heh. They took me in and the surgeons are young like mid thirties. They were playing some teeny bopper music like Ariana Grande or something. I thought please don't let this be the music I die to FFS. Would have been tragic. Trying not to effin laugh.

After not paying our mortgage for 2 years and losing us our house, my little back stabbing bitch called me and asked for money to pay car insurance.
I had to put the phone down and walk away for a few just to maintain my cool.
Fuck that bitch. But i said it much more diplomatic. My ass is not yet financially water tight. Gotta keep playing nice.

Very seldom do I have anything that really pisses me off. For the last 10 to 15 years I have had to show my driver's license and sign for my sinus meds. I use pseudo-ephedrine and NOTHING else really works. I have had trouble with my nose being clogged and drippy all my life, like since I was born I think and never could breathe right. Pseodo Ephedrine opens me up and clears my sinuses very well, and literally nothing else works. Twice now they have told me I "Reached my limit" on how much so I had to wait for it to roll off again before I buy more. The Pharmacist said maybe just a few days, but it was 3 weeks before I got more.

I was taking two 12 hour tablets a day, one in the morning and one at night and felt better for the month I was doing that than I have felt in my entire life. Going from one a day to two a day made a huge difference in my well being. WELL along comes the DEA and changed the rules again. Took me forever to find out the specifics, but now a box of 20 is a months supply! 20 tablets for 30 days, leaving me absolutely miserable, unable to sleep, and grouchy as hell when I don't have them. While I was out the first time this happened I bought the mucinex you can get over the counter (No pseudoephedrine) and it was $22 a box and didn't really work much at all.

This has me fucking pissed! I understand people make meth out of it. I understand there are bad people doing  bad things. That is NOT a reason to punish everyone. There is no reason in the world that they should make this limit any less than the way it it supposed to be used on the label, and that is two a day. You can get a doc to prescribe this to you, however, my doc said that since I am on high blood pressure meds, he won't prescribe them for me. ARRRRRGGGGHHH!

Perhaps look into obtaining some ephedra bush seeds to grow Coop.

Met Henry the other day. Homeless for 16 years traveling the states. Decided to have a conversation while he was charging his phone and battery backup.

Learned having a dog for the winter helps to stay warm. That didn’t occur to me. As we talked he cursed then said ‘sorry about the language’. Then as we continued he cursed more until every other word was fuck.

He then told me college was where the sheep are made. Told him I was in my last semester. I told him lots have to conform in order to survive, but he was totally against it. Hey that’s cool you be you.

As I was leaving he let me know of a coffee shop that takes money for prepaid meals. Didn’t tell me to go and pay, but why else would he tell me?

So the man has anger. Lots of anger stemming from an Amish upbringing. He’s paranoid and thinks working people are sheep yet wants this individual to prepay for a meal.

He’s a decent enough guy aside from his anger and needs mental health help. He’d likely need arrested to get anywhere though because he’s fixated on being free. Free to ask for free stuff.

Not sure where I’m going with this because it ticks me off our system let’s Henry fall through the cracks and also ticks me off he’s calling people sheep and requires help to survive.

Had to get that out of my system.

The stories he could have told you.
I'd go back and buy him three meals and listen. That dog survival tip might save your skin one day. Who knows how soon.
