In 1998, while a batch of barley wine was being made, 90 kg of brown sugar found its way into the brew. The result was a full-bodied beer with light plum notes. The strong sweetness was balanced against an equally strong presence of American hops. The beer was amazingly clean considering its strength. Lagunitas has brewed Brown Shugga every year since.
9.9%! Mmmm mmm good! ;)

easy and tastes great. But if I gotta buy some
its Leinenkugels. When I was a kid, my Grandpa
had so much of it around that I thought he owned
part of the brewery.
During prohibition my uncle made whiskey and my
Dad posing as a paperboy delivered it.
In that tradition I learned to make spirits and in the next year
we hope to come up with a recipe for shroom brandy.
Peace,
Raul

Barley Wine Style Ale ~ Deep dark red with a nice thick head. Huge caramel-malty, spicy-hoppy aroma. Big smooth body. Lots of dark caramel maltiness and of spicy hop flavor. Nice alcohol bite that seems to get stronger after the lingering finish. 8.8% abv.

Dog Fish Head is the best new brewery in America. All their beers are simply amazing, with the 90 minute IPA being the best IPA on the market. "The Enamel Animal, a Dologfish Head invention, is an organoleptic hop transducer module. A three-foot-long, cylinder-filter packed with a half a pound of whole leafhops that we affix to the beer line of a keg. The alcohol in the grabs the oils off the hops on the way to the tapfaucet inducing the most pungent and glorious fresh hop experience known to man (or woman)."

Dog Fish Head is damn good beer. Usually they put out a good limited beer for winter but I don't know if it goes national. I'm only a hop skip and a jump from the brewery.
I gotta look into the Enamel Animal, lol
