I was informed by irishlion in another thread of mine, that a crestate and variagated variety of mostrose had been developed, but couldn't find any info on them after that. I just managed to stop into the right store at the right time to stumble upon one. I wish i could offer more, but it was the only one he had. I've been trying to get the guys cactus distributor's number but hes being stingy with his connection. lol.

The reason this one is so desirable is because yes, it contains mescaline, just like most trichocereus. On top of that, its a bridgesii variety clone. Bridgesii's are known to be about as potent as it gets next to peyote.

Additionally, this specific clone happens to be one of the rarest to date. I'm sure they will get more popular as time goes on but this is the only one i've seen since i've known what to look for, and i dont think anyone else on the site has one or even seen one either.

if you look around for bridgesii monstrose clones you will see most look like penis'. this one is clearly much different with its obvious crestate growth.

not quite sure on that yetti. i think bridgesii's are a newer addition to the entheogenic plants available to us. they are catching on like fire but many people still haven't moved on yet. I have a few pedros and torches, but i dont plan on starting anymore unless they find me in a trade. It's all bridgesii's and lophs for me now.

I think that yetti is suggesting that if you are growing for production than bridgesii of the regular form would would be a better bet because it will aquire more mass quicker than a mutant would. For the sake of collection, I would rather have your plant, the crested monstrose, because it is so unusual and unique. I would also like to say that if you allie yourself with many cactus they can help you to grow/graft the others. I like to have many culumnar cactus such as myrtillo, stenocereus, and hylocereus. They will come in handy when you need a good perminant stock and you wont have to sacrifice a tricho.
