After building my first straw project which failed miserably I had a cup of colonized B+ bird seed left so I put it in one of my wife's Tupperware bowls (with her permission) :teeth: and cased with coir. Here are the results.
I may be biased but I think the last pic is Brilliant!!

The last pic is pretty sweet ... nice grow. Did you pasturize the coir? Did you pasterize the straw and why did it fail so bad?

Yes the coir is pasteurized. The reason first straw project was failure to keep proper moisture levels. Straw dried out. So I reread the archives on straw and am trying again with Texans. There is another thread with pics of this effort.
