Psilocybe Caerulescens Unicorn Mycobag culture.
- Multispore Culture, Spores from Prankster239
- Rye grain spawn (10days)
- Sterilized (2,5hrs.) Substrate mix: Straw 70%, Horse manure 15%, Grass Seed (div. called 'Spiel & Sportrasen') 15% (8 days)
- Thin Casing layer: Pot Flower Soil, pasteurized
- Temperatures: Spawn 27-28 Degr. Celsius, Fruiting 23-24 Degr. Celsius
- Pins after 35days

Comments:
The Caerulescens grows in my experience very similar to the Semperviva. Fast and dense grow but slow to pin. Only the growth of fruitbodies is 3times faster and takes around 8-9 days. They seem to like it wet, I lost lots of pins before I started to keep it more moist. The mycelium was running very fast through the casing soil and broke through the surface, I had to scratch it, to keep it open for watering.
There are lots of pins but only very few are growing, so I think overall moisture of the culture is to low. A second culture is pinning, but there is not a single fruit growing bigger. All in all I am not satisfied but in these days of trouble where I see a lot of cultures not doing well, I have at least to be thankful for what I got here.
The fruits do sporulate well, I took few clean prints.

Workman has said these might actually be Psilocybe caribea which is a close relative of caerulescens and weilii.

Awesome grow!

Got some more fruits from my 2-3 month old Caeruelscens(or Caribea) cultures. They are really beautiful and matured within one week.

I still don't trip with self grown mushrooms, sorry.
But they are blueing very well. Like the Semperviva I would say.

Beautiful CF! They look very happy. What's the potency compared to cubes or cyans?
