Just a few Cambos. Substrate is cow manure with chopped straw/straw pellets (50:50).
Substrate was to dry, so thats why the caps are that small.

Sorry, I did not know I would get such a feedback on those, so I shortened the description. Here's my usual:

Panaeolus Cambodgiensis Unicorn T3 Mycobag culture.
- Multispore Culture, Spores from 'white rabbit' (@ Zauberpilz.com)
- Rye grain (8days)
- Sterilized (2,5hrs.) Substrate mix: Pulverized cow manure (Garden shop in NL)50%, Chopped wheat Straw, Straw pellets 50% (10 days)
- Very thin Casing layer: Pot Flower Soil + Cocohum Mix, pasteurized
- Temperatures: Spawn 27-28 Degr. Celsius, Fruiting 23-24 Degr. Celsius
- Pins 7days after casing was applied

Spored well, sure there are prints to trade.

And, yes, before I forget for the 100th time: I don't eat my actives, I use only naturally grown Semilanceata for tripping.

If you don't mind me asking a perhaps stupid question, Capt. Future, as I don't really know these mycobags.

I'm interested in knowing what kind of air exchange is provided by them. Is it a tyvek-like filter? And do you simply leave the bags to take care of themselves, or do you open to fan and mist regularly?

I'm asking because as far as most Pan TEKs that I have seen go, they always advise to have very high levels of both fresh air exchange as well as humidity. But your tek seems to run counter to that advice!? And with superb results.

I use the bags as a tray. After the substrate is colonised I apply a the casing layer, tape the bag outside around to make it more stable & cut the edges down to 0,5-1cm above the casing soil.
Then these cultures are held within my usual plastic boxes.

I mist only the box walls (while the culture is held outside) and the lid. (one time daily) and fan twice a day with the lid inside the box. If I would do that more often, the caps would go larger, I think. Additionally there are polyester wool filled holes on the top and the bottom of the box.

While I'm at it, can I ask what you do to prepare for the next flush? There seem to be different theories on the merits of re-casing, and possibly even scraping off the old casing..? And do you dunk?

I'm interested because I'm also trying to grow these myself at the moment.

Sorry, there will be no next flush.
After the first flush with Pans I kick them out on the compost pile.

And yes, I use a large 'still air' box for agar/grain work. But I do have a small HEPA air cleaner (very small) which I use to get clean air inside the mycobags when inoculating them with grain spawn.

Because the next flushes are not so nice in your experience, or just loss of interest after the first flush?

Because in my experience the dried out surface couldn't be wetted without getting mold within the second flush. And I really have a problem with mold spores in my growing room.
And what a 2nd flush gets me isn't worth the risk. Plus: I get more than enough prints of the first flush, so there isn't really a need for a 2nd.

I have a question regarding the naming of the "cambo" strain. I hope this is an appropriate place:

What are the differences between these strains?

1.) Panaeolus cambodginiensis (Copelandia cambodginiensis)

2.) Panaeolus cyanescens Cambodian

3.) Psilocybe cubensis var. Cambodian

I saw a print marked "cambo" and am curious to know: Why would a strain be simply marked as "cambo" when there are many different varieties? How to tell the difference?

Moo, they are different species. Some strains of Panaeolus Cambodgiensis/Cambodginiensis (not sure which one is the more correct?) and Cyanescens are very similar but can be differentiated by examination of spores by microscope. For that reason there has been quite a number of examples of misclassification of these two.

Psilocybe cubensis "Cambodian" is totally different, not difficult to distinguish from the others simply by eye. Compare pictures here to pictures by the Captain

2 and 3 are strains of Pan. cyan. and Ps. cubensis, respectively.

BTW, Captain. Thanks for sharing the first and very nice flush at least, I was just looking for some advice on managing the next flushes! I am trying spacecake's dunking tek myself.
