Well forever now I've been using the greenhouse to grow mushies, I've been using the one pipe at the top design and it just hasn't been satisfying me. So a trip to Home Depot... a few changes... and I must say... I'm VERY happy with it now. With the old design, humidity is pumped in at the top, and gradually fills the gh, I used to have my humidistat near the center... humidity was always uneven. Now humidity is pumped in on the three top shelves, and the humidistat placed on the bottom shelf. Humidity evenly fills the gh, the humidistat set to about 75... it's been coming on about every 5 or 10 minutes, and I have been refilling the tank about every 2 days. I added a vent at the top to help allow humidity to escape, and a garden trellis propped up behind it with 2 tube lights attached to it. The humidifier and lights are both plugged into the humidistat and cycle at the same time. The pvc pipes were placed at an angle to allow water to drip back to the tank.

What an amazing deal I found. The brick on the left cost about 5 or 6 bucks at the pet store. The mega brick on the right found at a local nursery for 7.99...

awesome greenhouse suckerfree  ...

I know you probably already know this or possibly I’m in the wrong, but I’ve heard that some of the large packages of coir used for gardening may be laced with some form of Trich, as it is beneficial to plant growth... not so beneficial to mushroom growing however... I know you've been here long enough to probably heard this several thousand times already, but i thought it was worth mentioning...

peace

my local hydro shop sells 2 kind of coir. The one that comes in 10lb bricks have trich, they come in sealed white plastic and come from europe. the other is 3lb bricks...which noone buys. I asked him to ask the company and they do NOT add trich.

That greenhouse looks like a Neptune
4-tier mini-greenhouse. (sku:10070)
You can pick them up on ebay for
about $28.00 incl shipping.
