so you say you got em under 300w of leds? keep us posted
peaaaaz

I'm sure that costs will be going down, and wouldn't be surprised to see LEDs competitive with HPS soon.
HTGS has a UFO-type 90-watt light, with improved spectrum, for under 200 bucks. They claim it's comparable to a 400w HPS.:mistrust:
If it's even close, that's pretty damn good. Considering there's no need for extensive cooling etc., it could be a pretty good deal.
Wish I was in a position go give it a go.

you woulda been sad if ya had-2 years ago they didnt have the current bridge lux leds-with the 4th qtr chip-set-these are the animals responsible for the recent increase in flowering capabilities, the new tek is cheaper and 10x more powerful, but we're not there yet.I'll post a pic of the real absorbable light spectrum-not even close to the bs printed in led ads-all lies btw, hps matches it almost perfectly-I dont know what these led hucksters are talking about-and until current tek matches that spectra, and diode wattage is increased, nobody can seriously say leds are better. And thanks man.yeah i was gonna say i almost bought myself some of those ufo's about 2 years ago but didnt feel like blowing $400+ per light hahaha and i think that was the sale price for them.... more power to you though adn honestly this is one of the better led grows i have come across

htgs is a knock-off of prosources illuminator line-prosource is the only one that has it.HTGS is just using the same wavelengths as prosource-what they're not doing is the reseach necessary to see which diodes need more or less power coursing through them-too much of one or the other cuts down on results- and to my understanding, htgs just dupes the diode array-not the chip-set.For 150 beans more you get the real thing-youch, I know, but when it comes to a new tek in its infancy-you're gonna have to pay for the good stuff-remember when plasma tv's first came out.Very nice! A lot of us have been curious about LEDs as grow lights.

If the wavelengths are the same, dispersion angle is the same, power is the same, conversion efficiency is the same. Read "same" as similar. Then what's the difference?htgs is a knock-off of prosources illuminator line-prosource is the only one that has it.HTGS is just using the same wavelengths as prosource-what they're not doing is the reseach necessary to see which diodes need more or less power coursing through them-too much of one or the other cuts down on results- and to my understanding, htgs just dupes the diode array-not the chip-set.For 150 beans more you get the real thing-youch, I know, but when it comes to a new tek in its infancy-you're gonna have to pay for the good stuff-remember when plasma tv's first came out.
As you said, it's a maturing technology, and some are going to sell equivalent products for a lot less money.

Okay, current tek had the same amount of power evenly dispersed to all the diodes, and to the best of my knowledge-prosource is the only quick bucker thats kicking out the extra dough for the goods in ole China, you dont even want to see the pricetag on US manufactured led units-1500US and up!, you see they've been collecting all this led feedback and it got their asses in gear to invest in the current "advancements"-which is just some better electronic parts that have always existed anyway. What prosource did was get a hold of the current pulsing technology-providing different amounts of power to individual diodes to accomodate our plants specific needs.Their not making these things for lettuce anymore-the price difference is in the quality of electronics used, basically. It's business. We want our fat led buds-but they want their money-believe that.If the wavelengths are the same, dispersion angle is the same, power is the same, conversion efficiency is the same. Read "same" as similar. Then what's the difference?
