Ok, here is some very helpful info on knot tying I've come across.

Anyone who is remotely self sufficient knows the importance of this skill.

I was going to post all the text, but the animated guides on the linked site are extremely helpful in figuring these out and they ask that I don't copy and paste them elsewhere.

So here's the link.

Enjoy!

Knot...Good

Tie down, camping, hunting, fishing, safety, fall protection, first aid, survival and Celtic.

Gotta have um; first four I teach, the Clove hitch, the half hitch/timber hitch, the Bolin and quick release trucker's Knot.

you could get by with just these four systems...but why stop now?

bowlines are the best. used to sail when i was a kid. they have little catch phrases for each knot to help you remember how to tie it.

I've often thought that knot tying would be a valuable skill to have.
I've even meant to look into a book or website to teach me. Never got around to it but here it is all set up for me.
Time to tie some knots!:rasta:
