Creepers On Compost - DDD Style

40lbs cow manure compost, mixed with 5 gallons peat moss (20qts) and 2 qts fine verm.
(Usually I like to add lime and gypsum, but was out at this time :amazed: so will see how it goes. The peat has really helped to fluff up the compost and let it become colonized better. I'm hoping the ph doesn't get all out of wack without the lime as the compost gets eaten and explode with contams... but as I said, we shall see)
From the oven and trays into 2 tubs, spawned with 1 large mycobag of rye grain spawn each. (each bag was made with 8 cups dry rye and 6 cups water, sat over night, then pc'ed for 2hrs at 15psi) Innoced, ready in 1 month with 1 breakup/mixing round about a week or two into it. Nothing fancy.
This is how they've been doing (will keep updating pics if I can)... should see some pins/fruits within 2 weeks. Or so the plan goes...
1st is "TUB A" ..
(...compost pics moved to post below..)

Must be nice to not have to crumble manure up. That looks like some nice store bought compost! Great growth showing so far.
Roughly, whats the depth on the two substrates?

The tubs they are in are 20" x 18" x about 14.5" tall. (got em at home depot)
Fanning 3 times a day, misting walls as needed and misting directly on the top of the substrate to keep it humid.

Well, here it is, day #10 since spawning to my compost mix and giving light, and there is a pin! Yes, a pin! See for yourself. :) Also, there's a nice pic of some mycelium going nice an rhizzo. :) This is by no means a pin explosion, but very very soon, it will be. :teeth: :eusa_pray
The first 10 days can be seen above, will be posting latter ones now below.

Nice Dooby! I'm always amazed by your compost grows. You always seem to get pins before the compost is fully colonized on top. (I remember a B+ grow you did a while back, I think it was you, lol.)
That looks like a nice store bought compost mix. It seems the Peat really fluffed the mix nice, and I'd say not using hydrated lime didn't seem to matter.?.?.?
Great job!!!!!!!
