Day 15, looking very nice as you can see above. Some are ready already while new pins keep forming still. Heh

In this picture here, you can see some white puffyness starting on the base. I think this is due to too much humidity right in the substrate or even in the air, so I'm reducing my misting just a bit and not gonna hit the substrate too heavily the next couple days but continue to keep the walls misted and fan 3 times per day or more if possible.

http://mycotopia.net...=1&d=1138509752

See, just at the bases. Nothing wrong with that though. Just making small adjustment.

Also, they tend to be quite loosely attached to the substrate. I've seen this everytime I've worked with them. And as a result, they tend to fall over :) hehehe TIMBER. :) You can see that also in the pics. Gotta be tricky moving the bins to air them. Again, nothing serious really. heh

ooo, another note, I did not tape off or spray paint the sides of the bins. One because I was just lazy, and two because I like to let them grow up along the edges because they hold themselves in place better and don't tip over. heh

Here's a few picked early in day 15, more solid than I thought, and weighing in around 10-11g wet for those larger ones.

Dude, those are NICE!

You mentioned having worked with them before. Would you call the speckling and nipple caps charactersitic of the strain or just this flush?

Those are REALLY interesting fruit bodies...they remind me of Amanitas more than Psilocybes...

heh, thanks guys. :)

I didn't seperate the tubs as I've been picking, so the weight #'s when I get them, will just be a total dry weight from the first flush when ready.

Yeah, pretty much same thing with them. Nice smooth white straight stems, tan caps, often with speckles and sometimes a nipple. :)

Day 17, here's what I've picked so far, some stuff dry a bit from having them in front of a fan ;) Tub B has been picked clean, a few more nice ones in Tub A for later, then we wait for the next flush and dry these babies up. ;)

Many ask if they can pick the mushrooms as they mature or if you need to wait and pick them all at once. You can see here I've been picking them as they are ready. No need to wait and pick them all at once. :D

Thanks for that info on the harvesting schedule, Dooby. That's one I've wondered about myself.

Those stems are just razor straight...pretty cool!

Last ones picked today, day 18, from Tub A. Now we play the waiting game n prepare for flush #2. There's a few on the edges of the bins still, but I'm not worrying about those, if they pop up above the top, I'll just pick/pull em out. Otherwise not gonna worry about them right now. I had one flush one time flush exclusively just on the edges, was odd, hehe, but happened, so sorta used to it. heh As I said b4, I didn't spray paint or tape off the bottoms to block light.... sooooooo :) You can see the updates till day 17 above in the thread for Tub B and up to day 18 for Tub A. Will start new ones below shortly.

So again, Tub A & B both picked clean, will continue with minimum 3 air changes a day (fanning) and misting as needed to keep it humid in there. Also, I will be misting a little extra directly into the substrate to help rehydrate it. I will not be doing any sort of dunking on these.

Oh yeah, and no casing layers used.

Good stuff, Dooby...
Absolutely amazing IMO, using uncased, store-bought manure. :eusa_clap
Did you perform all of your misting with straight H2O?
Peace,
AS
