Looks like my patch is taking off :headbang: :rasta: Thought I'd share some mycoporn with y'all

The bed is ~6' by ~3'. the left side is GTs and they are coming along good but the PEs are not fairing to well, yet i hope. Substrate is about 8" thick. First dug down a bit, clearing all the 1/2 way loose stuff, and laid a nice layer of hpoo and spawn. Then layer after layer of wet straw, black kow, spawn. Some peat and a few leaves thrown on top a couple weeks later when the top plastic was removed.

Oh, and it's a small Bic

Hahahaha yes man fucking bad ass congrats love to see the outdoors. Today actually I had my first respectable harvest of the outdoor season after tearing my hair out for 2 months and it actually looked pretty much like the left side of your pic, except the majority were matured, it was actually perfect timing considering this patch is visited the least and hasnt been visited cared for or manually watered for a week. Didnt snap any pics at the patch but after cleaning Ill try to take some.
Have you noticed the "bell-shaped" caps? You think this is genetics or something else?

ps You can really see the effect of the deep substrate, youre going to be very happy in a day or so

Thanks p2k1

Keep trying man, practice makes perfect. Post some pics of em when you get a chance.

I have no idea about the bells. This is the first time I have grown GTs.

Eh....it really doesn't matter you have a good little harvest there. Throw them in the lottery ball and eat the first ones that come out....:headbang:

Nice patches, Ben. Outdoor cubies can take on a whole different appearance from those grown indoors IME.

Thanks y'all.

This is my first true outdoor patch so I am pretty excited about it. :eusa_danc I have had trash piles that threw off some little guys but nothing like this.

It has been hot as hell with high humidity so hopefully in the next flush or two the ground will be covered with them.

I hope so. It has been raining all day. Not to hard for the most part i think.... I know that could be good but it could be bad. We have had some gully washers a few weeks ago and I'm praying it won't be like that this round of storms. Then again maybe the trees will deflect a lot of it....

One way to find out ah??

This was at dusk yesterday, was kinda in a hurry.

If it does not rain all day I'll try to get some more pics later. Truthfully I would not mind if I don't make it out there for a couple days and come back to see a bunch of convex caps with there gills to the sky. There's a lot of farms around here :D

Got a normal Bic for comparison this time.
