Great idea for a thread Dani! Einstein has to one of my all time favorites for quotes.

  • "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind."
"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it."
  • "The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing."
All are from Albert Einstein.

Lets get this thread rolling. :eusa_clap

"Maybe there is no Heaven. Or maybe this is all pure gibberish—a product of the demented imagination of a lazy drunken hillbilly with a heart full of hate who has found a way to live out where the real winds blow—to sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whisky, and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested . . . Res ipsa loquitur. Let the good times roll."--HST

"The finest emotion of which we are capable is the mystic emotion. Herein lies the germ of all art and all true science. Anyone to whom this feeling is alien, who is no longer capable of wonderment and lives in a state of fear is a dead man. To know that what is impenatrable for us really exists and manifests itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, whose gross forms alone are intelligible to our poor faculties - this knowledge, this feeling ... that is the core of the true religious sent iment. In this sense, and in this sense alone, I rank myself amoung profoundly religious men."- Einstein

This is the full quote that is in my sig my personal favorite.

“The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on and individual level. It’s got to happen inside first. You can take away a man’s political freedom and you won’t hurt him- unless you take away his freedom to feel. That can destroy him. That kind of freedom can’t be granted. Nobody can win it for you.”

Jim Morrison

“That’s what real love amounts to- letting a person be what he really is. Most people love you for who you pretend to be. To keep their love, you keep pretending- performing. You get to love your pretense. It’s true, we’re locked in an image, an act-”

Jim Morrison

“I like people who shake other people up and make them feel uncomfortable.”
Jim Morrison

“The most loving parents and relatives commit murder with smiles on their faces. They force us to destroy the person we really are: a subtle kind of murder.”

these are just a few I like from Jim.

"All things must come to a end, it is an INEVITABLE part of the cycle of existence. All things must conclude, take the analogy of the tree that grows in Brooklyn: among the steel, and concrete with all glorious branches, and leaves, one day It too will pass on it's legacy through the seeds that it drops to the ground. And as the wind carries these seeds throughout the land a new life will begin for each one of them as they stand as a monument for the one that came before it."

Nice one CD. good choice!
