Those that live in yesterday, shall never see the beauty of tommorrow and those that constantly look to tommorrow loose the knowledge of today.

β€œThe answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer.”

- ken kesey R.I.P.

man, so, so many.
i was afraid to even start, but that's the one to start with.

also, as i'm leaving:

'come down off the cross
'cause we can use the wood'

comes to mind.
i love it.
know it from the tom waits song 'come on up to the house'
but assume it's got an older origin?

"I don't believe that the big men, the politicians and the capitalists alone are guilty of the war. Oh, no, the little man is just as keen, otherwise the people of the world would have risen in revolt long ago! There is an urge and rage in people to destroy, to kill, to murder, and until all mankind, without exception, undergoes a great change, wars will be waged, everything that has been built up, cultivated and grown, will be destroyed and disfigured, after which mankind will have to begin all over again."
- Anne Frank

Shroomette, Anne Frank was such a pure and genuine soul. I visited the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC in 1994. It was such a humbling experience walking through those different areas and seeing real pieces that she'd left behind.

If i were known by any other name, would i be any less a hero? And if Barry were known by any other name, would he be any less a jerk? I don't think so. For a name is a rose! And it only smells as sweet as you are.
