well you have nothing to worry about,
just get a girl to do it for you.
:lol:
btw i've never heard/seen anyone lose a finger to a catfish,
if you can find a confirmed case
i'd be interested in reading it.

I've been noodling once. Never again. It's fucking scary putting your hands into these holes that might hold a cat, or a beaver, or a cottonmouth, or a snapping turtle, or any number of things other than a cat. The method one is supposed to use is to grab the fish by the gills, so that they can't really bite you. Of course, that's probably not going to happen 40% of the time, but it's the attempt that counts. I'd rather just fish the old fashioned way instead of noodling. I spent a couple of hours on the river, didn't find anything, and shit myself multiple times. I've caught 20 lbs of fish in two hours many a time, so yeah...

LOL
noodling IS the 'old fashioned way'-
humans were catching fish by hand
long before anyone invented hooks-
let alone rod-and-reels.

you're letting fear get the best of you.

Catfish can be some mean motherfuckers. Caught a little one, bout 8-10", tried to get the hook outta it's mouth, and it chomped down on my finger hard. It hurt. I don't think we have any cats big enough for noodling in my neck of the woods though.
