Just a few Pans.
Panaeolus Cyanescens TEXAS Strain Unicorn T3 Mycobag culture.
- Multispore Culture, Spores from 'Renz' (@ Mycotopia)
- Rye grain (10days)
- Sterilized (2,5hrs.) Substrate mix: Pulverized cow manure (Garden shop in NL)50%, Chopped wheat Straw, Straw pellets 50% (15 days)
- Very thin Casing layer: Pot Flower Soil + Cocohum Mix, pasteurized
- Temperatures: Spawn 27-28 Degr. Celsius, Fruiting 23 Degr. Celsius
- Pins 11days after casing was applied

Substrate is too dry, so thats why the fruits are that small. They are dropping spores, so I don't care. Prints look good.
I am usually not that lucky with Panaeoli.

Very nice flush, Captain!

FYI - check out this note by Workman http://mycotopia.net...html#post656143 - He writes after discussing the reclassification of Goliath and Sandoze as Cambodginiensis strains, that "Also, there is a good chance that the Texas pan that is circulating is a true P. tropicalis, although I need to regrow that to confirm. I foolishly didn't save any specimens."

I don't want to :horse: the some times slightly obscure pan species discussion too much (obscure for those of us who don't even own a microscope), but thought you might be interested. (Well actually it's the second time today I'm :horse: about pan species, LOL). Maybe Workman would be interested in a print, if that's the missing link for the proper identification/microscopy.

Well, Om,
guess why I started the TEX grow? ;)

Yes, I was aware of that Tropicalis 'rumour'. And yes, WM is going to get a few specimen, since he hadn't grow it himself again afaik.
He'll get a few other specimen of other species incl. my Caerulescens to verify if it's really the Caribea. (as he mentioned from checking on Pranksters specimen, which my Caerulescens culture came from (sporeprint).)
I just want to wait if there will be fruits with one of my left Hispanica Mycobags. (one is pinning since yesterday) He asked for a specimen to check from the His, too.

And yeah, finally I got some fruits on one of my Samuiensis cultures, you wanted to have print if I remember correctly. Just pm please.

BW,
Cap.

The fruits were not touched very hard but bluing heavily.

Compared to the other Pans I did they are the 'bluest'.

Nice, I'm jealous! You make it look easy. I've yet to master these guys. I'm still trying to figure out if my syringe is dirty or not. That pan mycelium is some weird shit...I still can't figure out if it's a contam or not. :eusa_wall
....cool pictures BTW, I like the fisheye perspective.
