Apparently the source this sally came from says this x12 has been compared to the average x20 out there. The person I recieved this sally from has a good rep in the community and I believe them.
How much should I smoke to get a nice buzz?

Load a big bowl.
Smoke till you trip.
It may take a lot, it may only take a hit, but the stuff comes on in 15 seconds or so, so it's fairly hard to really overdo it.
Do it somewhere on the ground floor, in a safe room, with someone who can keep you from running out the window or something.
Or, just don't frickin move, 100% of sally trip injuries come from people trying to move/run/whatever...

Load a bowl, take 1 hit, take a 2nd, if you can still take a 3rd i'll be impressed.

load it up till you can't put anymore in it.
make sure you burn as much as you can.
the smoke should be so thick it should be yellowish.
take the hit.
put your seatbelt on, oh and put the bong down quickly.
you won't remember exhaling.

I don't think there is such a thing, we have had some discussions on here about the fucked up way that sally makes you feel (falling spinning flying, ect) Not very fond of it meself, but compare notes with some people here and you'll get an idea for what's 'normal'

i take in all i can, hold it as long as i can, then exhale, then before taking another breath i put the torch back on it and do this again. your body breaks the salvinorin A so fast that the idea is to get it in as fast as you can. for me, by the time i've got me second lungfull i'm on my way to salvia space. if are havn't smoked extract before then make sure you start off with a small bowl! it can be scary sometimes!
does anyone know of a vaporizer that hits 300 degrees?

Regardless, I'm fairly sure a regular flame from a disposable burns hotter than 300 degrees and will effectively torch up salvia (it did for me). The nice thing about torches is that it's a faster hit, I think - for those that have smoked it I think that might make sense - it heats to desired temp quicker, ergo smokes fater. Oh, how interesting:
"A typical disposable lighter is made of thin plastic and contains a few cc's of butane, under sufficient pressure to keep it in a liquid state. Butane, both I and N type, boils well under the melting point of water. Somewhere between 13 and 32 degrees farenheit, butane boils into a gas. So at a standard temperature (70 farenheit, for example) butane is a gas which ignites and burns quickly in the presence of oxygen. In a lighter, butane is compressed sufficiently to keep it liquid. Inside the lighter, therefore, there is only butane in both a liquid and gas form. ( As the lighter is slowly drained of gas, volume of butane decreases but the container volume remains static, so some of the butaine boils into butane gas) That apparently empty part of the lighter is not air, it is clear butane gas. The gas itself will not burn in the absence of oxygen, so the internal spark theory is not likely."

Regardless, an open flame is well over 300 degrees - even if one took knife hits off the stove with salvia, it'll work as long as the knives are hot enough. I personally perfer the strongest extract one can find (I think these days it's 40x, though two years ago I did 20x) and a solid bong that delivers hard hits - pack in good weed and top with extract and take a monster rip because one hit ought to do you.

i have smoked plenty of salvia extract and find that the torch lighter is the way to go.
i got one for 6 bucks and it is well worth the money. but we all have our own preferences.

i simply used a pipe and a regular lighter, and it works just fine. btw, it was 10x extract. good shit! i recommend sitting down though when you smoke it! ;)

That's the real key is that it makes it smoke up right away as opposed to waiting a second for the heat to take - same goes with weed, when you first hit it it's uncherryable until you get a burn into it - torches save time and you're totally right, for $6 it's hard to not make the investment. And I can attest because I got that $30 Colibri over half a decade ago and it works to this day. I also like them for blunts because they can unfuck a run/boat really well.

Is it standardized extract? A couple small pipe hits of 5x usually
does me pretty good, and a bong hit of 10x usually sends me
straight to sally land.

You also have to keep your lighter on the herb so the goods will vapourise.

I have to admit I'm afraid of going off to sally land myself. I've tried it 2x now and the 2nd time I was drunk. I had a rapid vibrating effect, like I was flying out of my mind but rubber-banded to this reality so I just had a sort of "cosmic wobble" and it wasn't much fun. Do I really have to smoke a *ton* to experience full effects?
