Fruiting a sclerotia producing strain?

mr, peele , do you then have to search for the stones
to harvest them ? or is it a way to fruit the stones ? bllfrg

agar would be fine but again would like a heads up on the best type to to coax them into germinating
so far I can say that Karo is not ideal, as well as millet grain jars
my friend may have a bum seringe too but more tests are in order before that decision is made
any idea on germination time?

I've used Karo for Mexicana as well. Not sure what your problem is Alpiner. Maybe a dead syringe.

If they are in outside beds, you have to dig them up. Not hard to do though when the beds are composted cowpies, staw, and sand. Its easy to go through this. Same thing when you find Ps. mexican growing. You always want to dig around in the ground for the stones. To me, that is a greater find than the mushrooms, and many times the weight of the stones will far outweigh the weight of the mushrooms......slp/fmrc
