I've spawned a tray with jars and its been sitting cased in the FC for a week or so.

Have had a lot of trouble with the bags not colonizing on the bottom, opened em up and watered them and it seemed to get em going again but still not fully colonizing. Still a nice fresh smell, mixed one up again (btw, how many shakes can a bag take??)

I think it might be my moisture content as the tops of the bags are well colonized due to the fact that its more well drained at the top. Also, there is more fresh air at the top. I'm going to try adding some verm and/or coir next time.

I actually took one out that was a bit smelly and just kept the top half, bleach dunked it for a couple hours, "cased" it with verm in a tupperware tub, and incubated for a week then put in fruiting temps. it seems to have recouped well. Nothing pic worthy though yet I'm afraid.

Peace:rasta:

Semper is one tough species. I am working on a second flush now. My first flush yielded about 15 dry grams. And, yes, one gram is a good, social dose--I was able to reflect and observe while tripping, kind of like good, clean mescaline or LSD, very little body load, overall a profound experience.

Hopefully you will see pins very soon.

Am thinking about putting the larger tray back into incubation, I cased it when spawning so cant be sure whats going on there, its been slow and patchy on the surface for a couple weeks now (since birthing). I blatantly didn't let it colonize enough.

My greenhouse turned out a little flukey. The top shelf is 23-24, perfect for fruiting, and the lower shelf is around 29-30, just fine for incubating. This isnt ideal but I can work with it at the mo. I tried a heatmat in the bottom at the beginning but it just didnt put out enough heat at all. The repti-heater is a bit of a beast and the result (with some clingfilm on top shelf helping probably) is a perfect hotshelf/coolshelf thing going on.

I would really much rather have a nice fruiting temp throughout though.

Thought of removing clingfilm to see difference but "if she's a pinnin' then I aint a messing with nufin'!"

I'll sort the lot out once these give a few flushes or cop it.:rasta:

I don't use heaters in my fruiting chamber.

I am using a little 15 W bulb (blue light).
The bulb is covered by a 30 x 30 cm sheet
of aluminium foil for evenly heat distribution.

A couple more have popped up and the first ones are gettin' a lil' bigga. They are well slow compared to cubes. I expected this though, well worth the wait.:)

Will get some pics up over next few days.

I'm actually concerned about my humidity as I have some trays ahead of others.
Its been about 90+ rh in there and now I'm worried that it needs to drop for fruiting while the other tray is still waiting on pins and needs it high. I wonder if they will sync up after a couple flushes??:weedpoke:

My ultrasonic has a bit of a crap timer, I can have it in on 1 min/ off 3 min. at the best. It cant be set to external timer as is digital on/off (u must press button). I've actually left it off tonight as its getting so wet in there that I'm getting droplets falling on the subs, I've had to make a wierd "shelf" with cling film to catch the drips.

Still havn't put a fan in it. Note to self...put fan in greenhouse.

Simply great! :amazed:

Be careful, they are at the most vulnerable point of their life cycle. :weedpoke:
