H3 Eulogy Thread

As many have read we have lost great leader. Many will have some to say, and some will have much to say. That's what this thread is for.

Please feel free to talk about this here, but please, no disrespect on this day of mourning.

Has anyone thought of compiling all of Hippie3's posts and putting them in a topic indexed anthology? A lot of work, but it would be a shame to lose the wisdom he shared during his stay with us.

Oh my, this comes as a real shock. In my short time here I had come to see him as a very wise fellow traveler, someone with a lot to offer this community. We are all diminished by his loss.

My condolences to his friends and loved ones.

I came on Mycotopia hoping for some good news today. I often thought about letting Hippie know how much of an influence he's been in my life, but always found my motivation to find the right words lacking - the words that were eloquent enough to describe someone who has truly left a firm impression on my early adulthood. I really thought you'd live forever, Hippie. But what do those of us left bound to these physical bodies know of such things? I'm not sure of much after death, but I know that if there's a place where good people go after they die, Hippie's there with so many that he's lost along the way.

Oh man, oh man. I will honor your memory, Hippie, and your mission. I will redouble my efforts - mental and spiritual, and pray that you'll be smiling down on me with your approval.

Thank you. I love you, I miss you already, though it's been months and months since I've had any contact with you. Let this be a reminder to always let those you cherish know it.

The numbness, the shock has worn off now and the tears are here. I find myself unable to find the comfort in my spiritual beliefs to stave off the hurt, but it's okay.
