Just know that all is taken care of. Hippie left us in good hands. Lets concentrate on celebrating the man for now though. There is plenty of time for the politics.

I didn't know H3. I knew of him as he has been around a long time. I had sent him a note about his "neglect tech" and he had responded to another note I sent once about PF, but I always figured he was probably a very busy person and not much time for trivialities. I post here because he has been unquestionably a large figure in the furthering of practical "school of life" knowledge and among those who made ways to bring others along as opposed to constantly publishing about his self. A lot of people used the post 60's psychedelic revival as a means for self glorification and bizzare pontification, but some glorified themselves resplendantly in the opportunity and inclusion they offered others. That is what I thought of H3. He didn't suffer much bullsh*t from people even if they thought they had the status to throw it around and his works of course stand apparent.
That's why I posted this. Not because I knew him and was his friend but because even not knowing me he was mine; because he and some few like him made it possible to learn or taught me more about pharmacognosy and practical pharmacology in biological medicine than I got from "all the king's men".
I've only been at topia a comparatively short time but have found a much better atmosphere and head than I have at other related sites and I like it here. I thank him for that and for the kind of thinking and right action that over the last 12 years completely changed my practice and renewed my participation in promoting a better world and general society.
The departure of a leader seems more of a loss because we ask ourselves how we will find from within us and our lives what they gave us. How we'll still have what we leaned on them for and fear is gone. It's there if we look and take up our part as instructed; his friends and legacy carry on.
Don't waste any time. Follow his example. "Do".
Best Wishes Always Hippe3!

Rest in peace hip.

He's changed more lives and opened more eyes than imaginable.
I've actually thought about how many lives this single person has influenced, and I reckon it's a hell of a large number.

Hippie3 you'll live on through this community and all the vast knowledge you've imparted upon us all. Obviously you were a great human being, and a hell of a teacher. Quite an accomplishment founding such an impressive community. Hats off to you hip.

I'm really saddened to have not gotten to be a part of the topia project for longer.

Long live your topia' brainchild.

Best wishes to your family and friends, dunno what else to say really.

That's all I can say as well, Teo.

Why am I crying? I have never met the man in person. I wish I had many times though.

This is just unbelievable.

you helped so many people find that place in our brains that holds insight and wonder, kaleidoscopes and rainbows, unspoken poetry and unseen beauty.

may you be in such a place now....

A brief candle; both ends burning
An endless mile; a bus wheel turning
A friend to share the lonesome times
A handshake and a sip of wine
So say it loud and let it ring
We are all a part of everything
The future, present and the past
Fly on proud bird
You're free at last.

I am at a complete loss for words.

R.I.P. Hippie3

I cant tell you how many times I wanted to use the Dial a Hippie. I never did because I knew that instead of asking the questions I wanted to ask I would just sit there asking silly questions or making awkward statements like a little kid talking to a superhero on the phone. I now would give anything to have that chance again. You are already missed.

I dont even know what to say. He was an amazing human being, that i enjoyed having intelligent conversation with (and debate) :p. I had been trying to get a hold of him...He may be gone physically, but spiritually he remains. Goddess bless his family and may the Goddess bless Hip.

I have been here for just a while, and I am supprised how hard this is hitting me. The Topia and everyone here has been keeping me afloat this holiday season, and Hip was such a huge part of that. He gave me a lot, in such a short time, and I feel like there was so much more to be shared. . .
Hip was here for us, and I will be forever greatful for his contribution and vision. He must have been someone special, I didn't even know him and I am so deeply saddened!

What will we do now? Shit.

I also don't know what to say.
I know we can all pass at any given time, but still, kinda like the sun rising, one always expects Hip3 to be around and to guide the ship that is Mycotopia.
Much love and prayers to his family and indeed for all of us too as we will be sincerely grieving along w/ them.
I can only hope that Mycotopia will continue on long after his passing as a tribute to his memory.

Goodbye Hip3 and Thank You for Everything.
