It's my first time growing this strain ... :rasta:

I've used PF-Tek (rye flour/verm) and spawned in stalk of grass, stalk of rushes, h.poo and verm and cased with verm/peat + 2 spoon of calcium carbonate sterilized at microwave by 10 minutes

pic1, pic2: monotub FC
pic3: bottletub ? :eusa_thin:lol::eusa_danc ... it's a 5 liters bottle cutted at the middle with 4 holes (2 above, 2 below)
pic4: another bottletub with a plant growing in there, it seems that 3 hours of water pasteurize was not enough
pic5: rushes

Yesterday I was afraid because I saw some spots were like green/grey and I thought it could be tricho in progress but now they're lot of pins, maybe it's just blueing ?, has this happened to anyone else? :eusa_shif

Best regards :D

More baby pans for the family album. :teeth: Congratulations!!! Good job!! :headbang: :cacti:

I don't see any strange colours! Maybe point in the pictures if you think it's still there? Looks good to me. I got lots of bluing of the substrate on my first grow of this strain, particularly after dunking after the first flush.

Hey Om, thanks for your input!

Is great to hear about blueing of this strain ...

Those are the cases but all knots began in that way and now they looks fine, don't really know what to think about it, I'm confused ..

dab that spot with a qtip and see if any of that coloration shows up on the qtip. if nothing comes off you are good. if it does that would mean its mold spores. great job nice seein some pins. thats the hardest part is gettin em to pin. if they did contam you wouldnt have to worry...you know what you are doing youll be able to grow em again!:)

Wouw, yes, that does look strange. especially picture #2. But they are completely normal now? If so I guess it must be bluing. I have not seen that on pins that didn't abort.

Looks great!! :teeth:

So those pins from case 1 and 2 did abort, or did they grow normally later?

Are they growing with the same speed as the Pan. cambodginiensis for you? For me they were much slower, maybe by 1-1,5 days, but it doesn't look like that is the case here.

Those pins are growing but there is lot of pins like those that doesn't growing, it seems that just those who are clustered or well wet can grow

It's a strange strain because it's to stronger when colonizing but they're taking a while to growth, I agree they're a bit slower than pans cambod, so I hope this pans jams will be more stronger on trip :greenboun:dance::lol:

Best regards :)

Well, they're going to be some very nice flushes for sure!

BTW, did you notice any differences in the smell of the mycelium? The compost I use always smells pretty sour when I just sterilized it but after the Pan Jamaica starts eating away it smells as if it's candy. I like the smell of other mycelia too, but this one is something else IMO. Don't know if it's just some strange chemistry in the substrate I use.

Yep .. I agree with it, they smell like candy, it´s amazing and dont understand why it happens :amazed:

Well, it´s the harvest day !! :greenboun  :cacti:

It was 95g fresh total
Monotub1: 63g
Bottletub1: 22g
Bottletub2: 10g

I am impressed with the size of these shrooms, some were very taller between 11-13cm, it´s a great strain :headbang:

Best regards to all! :D
