I guess I wasn't completely off at guessing at a 1,5-2 x higher yield than the other monotub. :) If the overlay had been avoided I'm sure it would have crossed the 2x mark.

What do you think, was it too much spawn? Worth continuing experiments?

My opinion, based on this experiment and on my own at times traumatic experience with pan spawn rates is that no less than a 2:1 (66%) spawn rate should ideally be used for pans, maybe this 3:1 (75%) is better if it's possible to incubate at relatively low temperatures to avoid the overlay formation. But I'll join in on the experiment not too far away in time. ;)

Yep, I think it would be great continuing experimenting but just with 2:1 spawn ratio and temperatures between 25-28ºC at much and I think that is very imoportant don´t let the mycelia colonize the casing layer ... I mean, after cased just let it colonizing for 2 days
