I've removed the lid of the 2nd box inside the bigger box 2days ago and it seems to do them good, though still a few fruitbodies are aborting.

I've come to the conclusion that it's maybe to wet within the casing, but I'm still not sure.

But there are a few fruitbodies maturing further. The best one will be cloned.

I removed the two big ones with the long stem.
Their caps turned blue within the center which usually is a sign for an aborting fruitbody.
It seems some fruits won't mature normally, while some do.
Since Elektrolurchs two successful grows came both from a cloned wild specimen, I really have to make a clone culture to see a perfect fruiting.
Though this grow certainly is a success.

Some pix of the two big ones:

2010.03.14 MF Fruits (13).JPG

Though it might seem like I handled them hardly- I was very carefully, it's just they turn so immediately and intense blue.

New pictures of the remaining fruits. Some (especially the big one) are maturing nicely.
I am so happy to have gone that far. Now after having half a dozen nice grown up fruitbodies I call this the first successful Zapotecorum grow since 8yrs.' old Elektrolurchs!!!

Don't you know that 'nice' is the little brother of shitty? :)

Ok, I might bore you but here are some more from this evening.
Though it's a good sign that the fruits are sporulating so well, I'd rather would have seen the big one (which is nearly opened- and will be cloned Friday) without the spores on the cap in it's usual golden color.

The long stemed FBs again turned blue and were going to abort - so I removed them. Fortunatelly there are the perfect fruitbodies which enlighten my heart. (Though I really wish they would have the nice stems of the others.)

I cloned the big fruitbody (the one with spores on the cap) yesterday evening after taking the pictures. It's interesting to see them sporulating on their cap surface once the cap flattens out.

Hope I am not boring here...

They are nearly finished, the two big caps are getting reeeeaaally big, I'll measure them before printing.
And to warm up my heart there are new pins forming all over the culture. Did I mentioned I REALLY REALLY LOVE them?

First clones from two stems were lost to bacteria, on sunday I'll clone the caps of the two big ones. (I'll let them drop spores for 48h before that.)

Tomorrow there will be some last shots.
