I start this technique as soon as there is a couple of nodes and a stem between them to bend sometimes. You never seen seedlings like you can create using this method!
I use all sorts of plant bondage techniques lol, but I use bending to keep those tops that are in the sweet spot from getting crisped by the light. I run two 400's also, a hps and a halide about 18 inches apart and in a 4x5 space.
This is how I get the bigass branching I get on my plants. Next time I take pics I will show the Butterscotch hawaiian g13hp that you can see in the pre88 g13hp seed run thread I started recently. It is the big one in the front rubbermaid in the center that is almost up to the lights. Check out the stems on that stuff now :) Those fatter stems grow fatter buds too I have noticed. The branches that get the tops bent always produce extra stout stuff.

Thanks for that... I love bending too. It is so easy to get big fat buddage using this method:rasta:

Prism, are you using any additives at this point of flowering? Your babies are looking great and are filling out big time.
I hit them with a dose of AN Organic Bloom and Calmag every couple weeks. Other than that its just Dehumidifier water and FFOF soil only
I love organic growing!!

If the stem snaps you can use some twist tye and splint the break
Don't forget the duct tape! A great stem fixer in a hurry.
Great thread Prism, I'm a huge fan of bending the ladies over!
