How deep is it? I'd like to see a side shot also if you don't mind... :D How long have those plants been in there?

tractor, the bed is the same one as in my first pics at the top of the thread...

substrate is roughly 4-5 inches deep and consists of washed sand, aka 'play sand'.

I built an 'air-lift' pump using the air tubes from a double outlet aquarium pump to provide a constant trickle of tank water to the bed.

Those are clone cuttings from some plants I was cleaning up and had only been in there a few hours when the pic was taken...
