I believe I am the only person in the world who can dance to dubstep without shame ;]. I'm just bragging but I've heard so many times that you can't dance to dubstep.

But I prefer dnb, actually.

yeah dude he really impressed me. the best part is that he is a producer not a dj. he makes a lot of the programs he and many artists use to make beats and shit. its really sick. im a fan of all of his stuff. another song i really like is called FML. i could go on all day about him.

excision is pretty sick and so is bassnectar in terms of dubstep

sometimes it is really repetitive with the same bass drop in a lot of songs. i really like psytrance as well like the group Black and White. sickest beat drops. their song streets of venus is raw as fuck.

What do you expect in a threat called Myco dubstep fans? ;)

The more I listen to Dubstep, the more I like it, which makes me listen to it more. Vicious cycle. Vicious.

Ed Solo & Skool of Thought's latest album "Random acts of kindness" is one of my favorites of the last while. It touches many generes but there is one dub-steppy tune in particular that I like called "Sludge".

[Direct Link]

Lorin from San Fran also known as Bassnectar has been getting into Dub-steppy zones for the last two releases. I'm not 100 % into this genere by any stretch , but I do enjoy it in the right context and on the right system. Outdoors , chilling on a beach ,on heavy-duty speakers, getting baked. Dancing to it ? Well i've tried several times , i'll try again , not really my style.

Here's a Bassnectar tracK:

BASSNECTAR - ART OF REVOLUTION (ORIGINAL MIX) DUBSTEP REMIX

Dub-step circus music anyone ?

Dub Gabriel- Galaga Dubstep - sounds from the classic video-game Galaga !

The best Dub-step gigs I saw this last summer are:

Benga
(6am start time on the beach , extremely loud!)

[Direct Link]

Benga & Skream (cool beats when tripping)

[Direct Link]

Bassnectar (1am start time , louder than fawk)
I've seen several Bassnectar shows this year.

Good meltdown song. I tried it on a bunch of acid ... got drippy.

Skream (played alone , with Benga and with Bassnectar)

[Direct Link]

Excision (played with Bassnectar)

[Direct Link]

[Direct Link]

Ed Solo & Skool of Thought
Love these guys !

So there you have it. Those are the Dub-step artists that i've seen this year. As I mentioned i'm not the hugest fan of the genre ... looking back i've heard a bunch of it this last year at electronic dance festivals. This list is the best of what i've seen in my heavily biased opinion. To my ear I like the more "organic dub-step" , the stuff that's closer to its dub reggae roots. I like some of the "darker" stuff when it's not to repetitive.

Dancing to dubstep?
Kinda like a cross between the robot, crip walking, and a drunk swagger.
Then you gotta get down with the bass :headbang:

Acid helps a lot!
