The Pharmacratic Inquisition DVD Part 1 of 12
The amanita mushroom plays a central role in this film and is presented as the basis for the shamanic elements in Christianity. Amanitas have a long history of use among northern European and Siberian shamans – the very cultures from which the term “shaman” originates. Within these cultures, “shamanism” was synonymous with amanita use and knowledge of its psychoactive properties were well known throughout that region of the world. That the shamanic use of the amanita might influence Christianity should therefore not necessarily be a surprise, but the argument that Jesus actually is an amanita, and not a historical figure, is probably a surprise to most.
Excellent documentary mostly about astro-theology , Shamanism and the Aminita mushroom.
Here's a non-youtube link to watch the whole movie:

Our intrepid foragers turn some fresh Chicken of the Woods into a curried fungal feast. As usual they end up down the pub and then pop into an Indian Restaurant.

This is a short video about the different forms this species can take on. Note the two specimens @0:05, they are both the same but from different areas. The rings around the base of the stipe (stem) are weak, they are worn away with ease by the elements or rough handling if one is taking herbarium specimens for further study
