Are there any tree's or is it all baren? Iam afraid the "only" magic you can find would be liberty caps. Ive found them in the north of sweden before and Iam sure they can be found even further up. Look for pastures with preferably sheep, or horse, but even regular lawns with moss can be promising.
Ive found the most in a sheep field, among sage grass. Remember its always hard to find the first one, but afterwards they are everywhere :D
Please do share pictures I would love to see!

I grew up in Tromsø, not far from there.
What you're looking for are Liberty Caps, and they are going to
be all over the place a few weeks from now. They might already
have started popping up, though. Season will probably last until
late September. My experience with the Libs up north is that they
grow very big, and have high potency. Careful with the dosage.
I once had 15 of them (fruits, not grams), and they sent me way
out in space, similar to 4-5 grams of dried Cubes.
Good luck with your hunting, and please do post some pictures!

You said it! Carefull with the dose, I had 30 freshies for the first time, you can imagine what I felt like and what I saw. Here is a trip report of that experience. They are a great mushroom! Such a shame they dont grow here :(

Anything happened yet?
Or have you left the area?
I'm in the north of Norway at the moment, finding decent amounts
of Liberty Caps. Temps almost down to zero celsius lately, but that
doesn't seem to hinder the small fellows popping up.
This year seems like a very good year in Norway, I see them growing
almost everywhere...
