i live in the north somewhat and people around here often drive snow mobiles to work for fun or if the weather is bad.i lived in other provinces and this just isn't really "common" but i had to laugh when i was in seattle last year and someone asked me if we drive snow mobiles to work? so i said sometimes. lol. what do they teach you americans about canada besides nothing??? does the map end north of your border ? i've been asked on other trips state side if i live in an igloo and eat seal!!! i never seen a seal except in the zoo.i like how americans sound and they sure picked out my "accent" quick.

meh, I love "Second City", "KITH" and "Trailer Park Boys". I'd probably be made fun of "ain't" and "ya'll". Everybody's got their colloquialism.

ya bill s-10 is sum stupid shit and you know whaat the funny thing is: bush fucked us also , he threated harper to tighten up or it would affect our trade agreements, we wer actually on the verge of being de-criminilized n then bam wer of th track goin off a cliff

i miss the old days wen you could have a oz and all they would do is connfinscate it now if u have 2 joints ur hit with "possesion with intent to traffic"
on the up side (if ther is one) someonee who grows 199 plants and gets caught has only a 6mth min sentance where as someone caught with 2 joints could face a year

but ya bak to tha thread lol
i do love our manurism differnces n i actually workd for craftmatic as a telemarketer for a cpl weeks n we wer calln tx,ar,ca,fl and i found my self usin the particular accents for each state lol it was different but i had way nicer convos with the ppl i called
btw nevr b a telemarketer its eazy but u spend ur day pissn ppl off

ya'll come back now ya'hear ;)

agreed the marc emery fiasco was one of the most retarded things to happen this decade by far

like i understand the US has strict laws n shit but here in canada seed sale is legal any headshop i go to has them right out in the open with big coulrful pics of all the strains ect

so why should a canadian be extridited to the us when he is not breaking any canadian laws or doing anything wrong inside the us borders

sure he mailed seeds to people in the us but he mailed seeds all over the world, i personally think it would be customs resposnsibility to confinscate packages like that end of story

how can we break american laws wen wer not in america? dont make sence 2 me and thats why i developed a distaste for the current canadian gov for not fighting for and backing up a full bred canadian instead they just did what they wer told like good little bitches,
next the dea's gonna be goin after all the dutch seedbanks with stupid claims such as these

i love american individuals but i cant stand the gov or the oppression in ur country by the majority of the gov, and with cconstant naggin on harper wer doomed to the same fate

why cant they just fuck off and go after the real criminals instead of filling the jails with stoners that would never do anyone harm (majority but not all unfortunatly)

I'm in the U.S. and I actually paid attention when we learned about Canada so, the stereotype that all American's just know you for your accents and hockey is not true :D

We actually entertained French Canadian's in my Honor's Shakespeare class. They thought we were not stupid American's which, was quiet refreshing to not be stereotyped! They said that our class was more interesting then some of their Graduate classes. That was quiet an honor!

I love Canada and the people are truly genuine which, I really like mycobri and I talk about moving up their all the time.

It was called the Burning of Washington it happened during the War of 1812 between the Brits and the U.S. Apparently we defeated the Brits at a battle and they started burning shit down cause they were pissed  it was retaliation for the U.S. burning and looting Toronto. So I guess all is fair in love and war :D

Gimme my maple syrup, streaky bacon and a fishin' pole and I'm home.:)

The number of times I've heard " Iiiiiiiii'm a lumberjack and I'm ok, I sleep all night and I work all day..... (monty python for those of you who dont get it). Thats the first thing that comes to most Brits heads first. Ive had to explain so many times that mounties dont roam every town on horseback.lol

I think most of them drive around in undercover cars now actually.:/

Shame bout the recent legal changes, I wouldv'e however, thought that a lot of people there would be checkin' out Rob Menard's work. There are ways to maintain your freedoms which he talks about. Mostly, understanding how the law works to decieve us into "contract" hence giving them power over us. Mainly through the use of that dastardly tricky language they use that seems to be english but definitly isn't. Its definitaly worth a google.

Back to the good stuff though, the one thing I miss about home is the great outdoors. Freshwater lakes teeming with fish, forests and fields full of life, the most amazing seasons anywhere, from beautiful hot summers to the whitest winters, to the most vibrant and fresh springs and falls Ive seen yet. (not been everywhere though)

You just dont get that "wilderness-ness" in the UK. A town is never more than a few fields away. Any forests are simply "parks" full of bike paths. I know there are some places in the north and west but it just aint the same.

My heart will always remember where it is from.:heartbeat

Big up for startin' this thread.:)

Some good old Canadian Brew, served on a beaver tale, by a polar bear, in an igloo.
Come on in everyone!
The Geese will be in soon, hope they don't get blinded by all the snow!

Damn I love this country.

the funny thing i always laughed about in grade school wen learnin about the war of 1812 is that if the countrys would of help ther captured territorys instead of barrganin id be a american lol
