The woodlovers are here !

Psilocybe Cyanescens 2010

I went out to check my beds and low-and-behold there be pins ... and mature fruits even ! I wanted to start off this thread by giving a deadication to Waylitjim for all his help and encouragement.

I'll be adding lots more to this thread as time permits.

Folks ... get out there and check your woodlover beds , it's time !

 Woodlovers

I notice you have a lot of straw on the surface, something which my beds lack. How big of a problem do you think that is?

Everyone: Thankee !

Kocos: The moist straw serves a few purposes. One is to prevent moisture loss from the surface (mulch) , but also to keep the humidity high so that pins become fruits without aborting (surface humidity).

P.Cyans actually like to grow under things ... leaves , straw , twigs & branches. When the season is in full swing you can lift a leaf or twig and there will likely be a cluster of wavy caps under it.

Leaves will work , straw is good ... whatever you use keep it moist and not TOO thick. Even if you don't put anything they will come , when they are ready. Adding a mulch layer may speed things up though.

More later.

Good luck. May the forest be with you ...
