I am from england and have noticed that there arent alot of us around in the forums and on other sites. i simply thought that i would start this thread to help us all get together on here and share our knowledge and say hi. if you are from england or know anyone from england please point them to this thread, others are also welcome but the goal is to introduce brits to other brits, thanx guys and see you soon,

hay mm im from some where on this isle. as far as i know there are a few of us on topia. but personally i don't think it matters where folks are from round here. as long as your decent to others and have a love of mushrooms you will be welcomed.

hey guys, thanx for movin the thread to the correct forum :eusa_clap, i'm still a newbie to the posting thing lol. thanx for all the replies, i didnt think there would be so many so soon. hi zodd, yeah your right mate, it really doesnt matter where you are from, one love, one unity.

The main reason for the thread though guys is to get in touch with others who are in the exact same circumstances as ourselves, we shop at the same stores, we have the same climate and we live under the same ridiculous laws that govern our little island, where as most of the people on the net are from across the pond somewhere.

For instance one of us may need a certain product and not be able to find it, the others may know a large brand chain store that sells it that the other has access to, such as argos and tesco's. also for a brit to send a brit anythin, say a print, it would take a day, not a week lol.

And if 2 growers are in a close proximity to one another they could even go meet up somewhere, this is of course not recomended and completely at there own risk, also fone bills are alot cheaper when they are local if we decide to befriend one of our neighbours lol.

just bringin the comunity closer guys, spread the news to other brits if you know any fellas, speak to you soon all....manic

Not from England but I spent plenty of time there. I don't think I ever drank alone unless I wanted to. Your countrymen were kind and often asked me to sit and drink with them. It seems over there drinking and being merry is best done in pairs or groups if there's one handy. I've been invited to after hours parties by pub owners/managers often. I remember one pub owner that knew me well, Nick was his name. Anyway, there was a fellow American there trying to get a couple girls to go to supper with him. I didnt know the guy but he was full of shit, you could tell. Nick looked at me after a bit and had the look of "When the fuck are you going to step in here and run this wanker off!" I read his face and just then one of the girls said to the guy, 'You have a wedding ring on love, we cant go with you'. He replied 'My wife knows I dont like to eat alone so she wouldnt mind if you ladies joined me for supper'. Nick damned near jumped a mile at that and just about lost his composure but he kept quiet. Before anyone else could speak I said 'I dig that man, my wife knows I don't like to sleep alone, so c'mon gals, lets hit the sack!' I got a hell of a laugh from the ladies and Nick. The guy left after a bit and Nick rewarded me with a decent cigar. I have fond memories of the people of the UK, you guys are good folk in my eye.

Yeah haha, if you love gettin pissed outta ya face, england is your place. We have some of the highest underage drinking percentages in the world, and funnily enough THE highest underage pregnancy rate in europe haha cant tell those 2 go hand in hand eh. Yeah the weather is usually crap for 10 or so months a year so the pubs or bars as you say are an easy place to get pissed and socialise in a comfortable enviroment, not a pub go'er myself really, i lean more to the ethnobotanicals and substances though than the drink. You think we like it, ireland and scotland practically wean there children on the stuff haha, thats not a biost view by the way, half my family are irish on my dads parents side, and my girlfriend of many years is scottish, and we all love the stuff an do it weekly haha. We love lager where i am called stella, 5.5% alchohol by volume, its nick name is wife-beater, no joke cus it has somethin in it 2 that can make some people a bit LA-LA. Also we love a bottle of newky brown round mine and ukgrower21s areas, nicknamed a bottle of dog. It has much the same effect as the stella and makes you pritty larey haha

Haha a do love me vodka i must admit. But 24 cans for £10 ! Its a tough decision, beer with friends, vodka with the mrs though usually
