Anyone know what's going on in that part of the world, in terms of 'shrooms?
I tried the search function, but unfortunately it's no good because of the strain with the same name.

I haven't heard anything of late but Cambodia has many select strains as I understand.
Pans are real common and Ralph has spores for sell as well as cubes.
Are you going over there?

File, You can find four common species in Cambodia, however the monsoon season is now over and sometimes a little rain may bring a few.
Psilocybe cubensis/Psilocybe subcubensis; a few species of Copelandia which most would be C. (Panaeolus) cyanescens; Psilocybe antioquensis and Psilocybe samuiensis.
You can see some of those mushrooms posted at:
http://www.mushroomjohn.org/cambodia.htm
and also visit these pages at:

Scroll down to Copelandia cyanescens and click on Cambodian Copelandia cyanescens:

Go to Psilocybe cubensis:

Also common after rainfall from monsoon are Psilocybe antioquensis also known in Antios, Columbia, South America, and Mexico, plus common at Angkor Wat and other regions of Southeast Asia.

and the Thai species Psilocybe samuiensis is also common in Cambodia.

The rainy season (monsoon) is from late May to the end of September around the Angkor Wat Region. Buying shrooms from locals in Cambodia can be dangerous as it is European hippies who know jack shit about the shrooms are starting to show locals other shrooms to sell to tourists or restaurants. my exoticforays page at my site list the Jasmine hotel as a place to stay at Anchor Wat. Mr. Kunn, my friend and his wife who own the Jasmin have a free page on my site. their drivers know where to take one to pick shrooms Cubes and Copes grow in Manure only and elephant dung at the dump site for elephant dung. P. samuiensis and P. antioquensis grow in manured soils with their mycelia attached to the roots of wild grasses similar to liberty caps in the USA and Europe and to P. mexicana in Mexico and Guatemala.
have a shroomy day,
